As your the only one that seems to be getting the issue at the moment, it suggests that it could be a problem your side of things? I would try clearing your cache and cookies and see if that helps it at all. Next time you have the issue, see if you can ping the forum from CMD ok. If that just sounds like jargon, sorry, I can elaborate if you need help with doing that.

A nice thread, surprised it didn't get more responses! The one that got me was an overweight double brockage, a reverse and an obverse brockage stuck together. I think I paid about 100 pound for it in excitement when I first started collecting errors. I didn't realise at the time that it was 2 coins, so when I did realise and sold it on, I probably got about half of what I paid -
A case of trying to cover up their mistakes then. You should have said something in my thread!

So do you think the new commem 50p with denomination is an error then? The RM are insisting it's not, which was why I started that thread.

Your best chance of knowing is having a coin in hand and a good magnifier/microscope to see if the lines are in relief or incuse.

Don't worry about everyone else Jon, at the end of the day if it's not acceptable to you and you're not happy with it, return it. Especially as it's not just a couple of quid. You'll forever be wanting to upgrade it because you know it's been cleaned, so why not just return it and keep hunting for one you're going to be proud to have in your collection?

Click on your name top right, then you want to go to 'Account Settings'. Once you're there you'll see a signature button, that's where you can edit the signature.

We were just discussing that in the die clogs thread, surely it's got to be one the last coins struck with that die before it literally fell apart! Would be nice to own but it's really expensive.

Not sure what to make of that one David, I don't think I've seen a fire damaged coin before but you'd think it would blacken? Does the white gunk on it come off if you rub it? -

Just a die on its last legs, some huge die cracks going on too. A nice example of a dying die (see what I did there ) but not worth forking out £400 for one! -
