  1. Well I did tell you..................
  2. The chairman of Russia's Lukoil oil giant, Ravil Maganov, has died after falling from a hospital window in Moscow, reports say. The company confirmed his death but said only that Maganov, 67, had "passed away following a severe illness". Russian media said he was being treated at Moscow's Central Clinical Hospital and died of his injuries. Maganov is the latest of a number of high-profile business executives to die in mysterious circumstances. Investigating authorities said they were working at the scene to establish how he died. Tass news agency quoted sources saying he had fallen out of a sixth-floor window, adding later that he had taken his own life. Only in russia is a fall from an upstairs window a "severe illness" I surpose the guys that pushed him were described as "medicine" .
  3. I strongly suspect whatever they are storeing will not last long
  4. Personally I think that germany will face the most problems with gas this winter along with poland and france with all countries in europe badly scared this also will leave many parts of europe very much open to virtual blackmail from Russia. THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH (the bond film) now a russian reality THE PROPHET
  5. The two olympic 2008 £2 coins are pretty hard to find along with the mary rose which seems to be kept because its a nice design .
  6. And not a mention of Elvis who works in a chippy near me
  7. The funny thing is many uses of fossil fuel (admitedly over a long time ) seem really tame compared with things the earth does to itself yet life goes on , we might make life on earth more difficult for our offspring but I doubt we will ruin the earth just by ourselves - the big exception is nuclear war I surpose....
  8. Yes you see quite a few farthings selling on ebay with their original FS brown envelopes
  9. And just imagine the total effect on the enviroment of that bloody war in the ukraine the mind boggles. They don't seem to have much imagination as well with a scorched earth policy (And sod the civilians), I can imagine putin saying "Well it worked against the nazis". And "We save loads on all those pensions with all those pensioners we have killed"
  10. Hey there pwa did you find any other FS lists ? I think it might be fair to say they are quite scarce on the ground now .
  11. The 2016 dated coin is five or six times more common if you belive the mintage numbers and you dont find many 2016 brittania coins in circulation anyway...
  12. I remember in the mid seventies the newspapers were all full of stories about how electricity bills would be practically free in later years , sucking up to the baby boomers as usual - .If we had known the truth we might have behaved better - ah well.
  13. For instance it often takes 15-20 years to get a nuclear power station up and running and they are always well over budget as well
  14. Yes but many of these products are needed now and it will be hard to justify billing customers for future tech when they cannot afford their bills now let alone in six months time
  15. Anyone else out there not to sure about the goverments help for bill payers this winter? If it happens (and I am sure it will) what will it happen in year 2 3 4 and 5 will this not add tens of billions to the national debt, all to be given to putin for his nasty little war. The point is any goverment that stops doing this "subsidy" or paying peoples bills for them will be immediately voted out of office . The goverment even compounds this by giving the Ukraine weapons and money to carry on with the war I cannot see anything else but tax rises in the future unless truss has found that magic money tree and I don't belive she has
  16. yes I think there were a few in proof sets and year sets as well
  17. Just picked up a A/unc britannia £2 2015 for £3 at a local antique and collectors fair got to be a bargain with only 650 000 made I am sure these are pretty underrated by collectors and will fetch a lot more than £3 in the future , I dont know when but probably when the mail get hold of this information
  18. Free £50 is OK think I will pass on the company for the meal though
  19. Doubt if mine will be, unfortunately we have this thing called winter
  20. York unfortunately bought me little this year - ahhh well maybe next time
  21. The strange thing is the right wing of the party seem to think that every law that passed into british law from europe over the last fifty or so years was bad and wants them all recinded - surely they cannot all have been bad ? Or maybe the EEC was the Nazi party in disguise after losing the second world war
  22. It was a promise I did not say I agreed with it, or thought it would do the country any good , the one good thing is that europe cannot be blamed by anyone for all the counries ills
  23. fake
  24. BUT HE REALLY DID GET BREXIT DONE (The one honest thing he really promised) Loved the bits about him shagging though , this would have been a minus to a politician in the sixties but somehow fifty years later people sort of admire him for it.... It also means his partners will never trust him and know he's always after sticking his Johnson, somewhere he should not be.
