  1. I also thought 3-letter search words weren't allowed?????
  2. Not when using the 'mobile' version on a smart phone! You scroll using your thumb on the screen...the series of 'like' ticks fall directly under your thumb when scrolling!I could end up liking all kinds of drivel, quite by accident! And, worse still, I might not notice!
  3. That's a beautiful planchet for the period!
  4. Or is it a token for a mineral Bath? I can't find anything on it either. Given the remit includes the suppression of vagrants, street beggars and imposters, I can't see it being anything to do with the baths even though they are less than 100yds away. The latter were frequented by the well to do of Georgian society and were unlikely to be affected by the lower classesHaving lived in Bath for a number of years I concur! It's still very much that way today, at least at the 'new' Bath Spa...very lovely, lovelies!
  5. Interestingly, there are similar issues on other forums using the same software! The 'quote' facility can be erratic on the canal forum I use! Even more interesting is this forum's software works perfectly for me! I reckon it's akin to a PC running beautifully at a million miles' an hour, with nay a hiccup one day, and then behaving like a total beach the next, only to return to sublimity without intervention a day later! I hate 'n' love 'em!
  6. Trouble is, I'm forever catching the 'like' tick on the 'mobile' version of the forum, when scrolling down the page, being right-handed an' all! So, I might end up liking all sorts of random posts! I'll do my best, though! Edit: TG, does it show on the full forum version that I liked your above post?
  7. It's like a Green & Blacks chocolate button (if there ever was such a thing), swished around with a good slurp of Gran Reserve Rioja! It's that good!
  8. You're feeling your way through this intelligently, so don't despair! The only thing I can add at this time, is don't get sucked in by toning! Even bleached white coins can 'look' good after a year of just sitting around a damp bedsit! Toning is great AND king! But make sure it's not a bad coin made good! And I'm not saying your 1908 is bad, just that the comparison you make between the two coins it not necessarily valid, simply by using 'toning' as the point of reference. Just one more thing...you are hell right that E7 florins are the devil themselves to get right!
  9. I've only just got this thread! Finally the penny has dropped! Edit: sorry, Declan!
  10. If they're cheap, I should probably get on board!
  11. I'd had a couple of better-grade WA HG's over the last couple of years, I'll see if I can dig out some images! Unfortunately, my image organisation hasn't quite hit searchable standards, yet, so it'll be a bit of a wade! But I do enjoy revisiting the images anyway, so I'll see what's there!
  12. I'm sure Dave will jump on that one with both feet! Ha,Ha! I'm waiting for it!
  13. Anyone for tennis?
  14. The Scots are always happy to say they are UK citizens!
  15. Just flash reflection, I think. Quite possibly, but really hard to tell for me. Wheelbarrow will know better from the in-hand viewing. Bright/lustred milled silver is much, MUCH, harder to photograph, as I'm sure everyone has discovered.
  16. That's a beautiful coin Garrett! I've not heard of these being faked, though, have you?
  17. From the images it looks cleaned to me?? Apologies if you have a different experience in-hand, I am also on a small screen phone! Welcome aboard, get some more pictures up, are you just collecting silver?
  18. The imagery is that of "Liberty wearing the headdress of a Native American". It is not supposed to be a depiction of a Native American. Ah, of course, makes sense now! Whoops!
  19. Interesting look at the culture of the period, that looks a very 'white' bust in native dress?
  20. It's something I want to get right eventually! I just need a little more time to play, though! It's definitely an art, and worth perfecting! I've been guilty on a couple of occasions of getting nearly as excited about having a great image of a Liz, as I have when acquiring an actual coin! This is why I would love to find the buyer of that Liz shilling! I might just email her again...little to lose! I might just pinch them anyway!
  21. Looks very BRG esq! Nicely presented, I do like the idea of using the surrounding black fields to display features/points of interest'!
  22. Many happy returns' peeps! Wishing you a top-notch 2014
  23. I'll dig out the emails, I don't think my communications were in the least bit offensive! It bugs me now, especially as I could've copied the images straight from eBay and said nothing (not that they would've been quite as useful that way)! I was only asking for her blessing on it! God, damn, and nabbitt!
  24. This is my favourite Britannia so far! You'd have to have it in UNC, though, it wouldn't be the same otherwise!
  25. Where's the king ?? 'Round the back!
