  2. Who said that? is it safe to assume the 1920 tanner is gone?didnt see any pics. always interested in d/florins but didnt check earlier as the staement that they were already taken served as a good enough deterant. however having now checked im not sure either of the broken 1's are better that what i have sorry for taking so long to replyski.
  3. Seven!!!. has anyone got the olympic peeing 50p yet?, i can swop a very rare 93 ridge 2007 10p
  4. not enough to allow you to be considered cockineese.........sorry
  5. Mickey Mouse loves Minnie Mouse......wheras............Walt Disnae
  6. obviously polished to me nick, and obviously polished to you nick.....but.... to those who are starting out?......not knowing too much about grading....their gonna get ripped off by a glitzy shiny piece of shit.........we wouldnt post our responses like this for the serious collector....of course they know its shite.....we post because of the worry that some young un , starting out, is gonna get fleeced by a piece of shit out to make a quick buck............and that my friend is what is sooo very wrong with ebay!!!
  7. For me anyhow....polished coins are just that...coins that have been polished. so why polish? well were well into the ebay era, and of course ebay is all about coning some poor bastard out of their money. polishing allows those who do not know anything about coin grading, to make a coin look better to those gullible souls who do not know anything about coin grading, seem like a very nice purchase. check this out......http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1888-QUEEN-VICTORIA-DOUBLE-FLORIN-/251052113898?pt=UK_Coins_BritishMilled_RL&hash=item3a73df3fea what a piece of shit, and yet some poor unsuspecting soul will buy thinking they have bought a real piece of numismatic treasure...........ebay, and ebay sellers like this, do no good to the long term good of coin collecting. you can keep your polished coins, theyre polished to hide grade and to con the innocent.
  8. ROOOOOOOOOOOB..........youre a hard gassing geyser......calling a spade a spade like that OY CURIOSITY................HOW MANY BLOODY RIDGES DOES THE 10P HAVE.....jeez
  9. spent a lot of my younger days living on clapham common north side.....big old victorian houses just up from the shell garage........exiled now in ashford near thiefrow. clapham is now pronounced clathem by the yuppies who live there.........just down the road is the equally poncy named St reathem. Souff east london aint exactly cockney me old cocker now is it......
  10. the theory around these parts was his wife didnt want to move to the midlands where the new fa hq is, so he had already turned it down........the redknapps live in bournemouth...a big commute.
  11. have you ever played the part of a policeman in "allo allo"...????...............
  12. thruppeny= threepenny......... threepenny = 12 sided coin...... i dont know anything about upper lady parts as im totally innocent of such things
  13. we will all know once youve counted em, still keeping us in suspense though
  14. and when you return, explain to them that they need to mortgage themeselves up to the hilt so that you can have a bigger house and bigger room seriously....if you enjoy coin collecting.......keep at least your favourites and the higher grade examples....... youre gonna need more pocket money though as compensation for having to accept a smaller room
  15. that should see them start to turn up real soon ahem.....debbie a thrupenny bit is 12 sided, therefore a dodecagonal 12 sides are easier to count than ridges.
  16. i thought it was only cheese that went downhill that is until the nanny state got hold of it!!
  17. there are 12 sides to a dodecagonal but only if you will get your girl to show me her thruppeny bits
  18. not a chant im familier with mr peck!!!!!
  19. when you look at past managers,,,,,, a swede and a deigo wap.........theyve walked away with filled purses...........im up for the job, let the press slag me off while the millions roll in
  20. the pounds cant look after themselves as their mostly counterfeit coins anyhow.....okay maybe £2mills worth according to reports.
  21. ive met your type in tesco's......chasing after the girl guides........have you got a licence for that zimmer of yours it just goes to show though how difficult it would be to maybe do away with the lesser coinage...or maybe not, just the 10p becomes the lowest denomination, or as you say peck, 10p becomes a penny and theres 10 to the pound. but what if........... when the pound becomes the lowest denomination..........and then the 2squid.......etc etc ad nausium ad infinitum. thank god for tanners and double florins
  22. then we could call the 5p a halfpenny, the 2p a farthing and the current penny a half farthing.....the 50p could become a 10 bob note and suddenly anyone over the age of 110 is happy again
  23. mr peckris......i get the feeling once again were posting on the same wavelength, whilst being poles apart........excuse me while i go away in a confused state
  24. hasnt that long since gone? so....are you saying the 10p be called 10 cents and then penny....if so, why not just cut out the american bullshit and call the 10p a penny........anyhow mr peckris, im sure you will agree, whatever coin you call a penny these days, the RM will do a shite job of designing it
  25. or maybe go up slightly..ie £2 most of what ive seen are £1 shops
