  1. Anyone who uses these must know what is restricted, for instance there is an absolute no fly zone within 1.5 miles of an airport, so whoever used it around the airport is just an idiot. Most restrictions come in to play when it weighs more than 5kg, mine is around 1.5kg. I'm looking for insurance for it incase of any eventualities as Germany is renowned for suing people, so that's on my list. Nordle, I had the DJI but the Typhoon Q500 is practically a fly out of the box drone, just set the compass and you're away, I found the DJI more of a pain and sent it back and exchanged for the Yuneec
  2. It's a Yuneec Q500+, a new kid on the block by all accounts and its reviews are kicking ass against the more established names. One of the reasons I went for it was image quality, if I had waited 2 week I could have got the 4k for 100 euros more but I've read that the camera can be upgraded to the 4k for 100 euros. The service on it seems to be quite high also, people have had their quad repaired and sent back within 8 days plus they are here in Germany, so another plus side. I'd been slowly learning how to use it for the little time I'd been out, so the video was just my real first attempt at letting it go a little and filming, hopefully it will all get better in time. Went to the Olympia park on Saturday morning but the video was'nt great, so another attempt this weekend while feeling more confident controlling it. Trainers are an optional extra Nordle
  3. 2 weeks into it, turn the volume down.
  4. I believe he was Polish
  5. Alles gutes zum geburstag
  6. This is true Rob, but with the 1854 surely with well over 1 million minted as suggested than there must have been a percentage minted for the date, so they must be out there somewhere
  7. Its also interesting that the 1848/7 is also an R6 but mintage unknown. Paul, how would Marsh get the mintage figures for the coins if this were the case? He would have to approach the RM for mintage figures for each year
  8. Not sure about that Rob As he has 1853 with a mintage of 2.708,796 and N rated
  9. According to the Michael Marsh book on half sovs, there was 1.124,144 1854s minted and is R6 rated, yet an 1850 has a mintage of only 179,595 and is rated As R2, so i don't know how that works in the grand Scheme of things, normally a higher mintage would have a lower rarity rating
  10. Basically if someone lays claim to something you've bought the German Government is basically saying you must prove 20 years provenance or it could be taken from you. The petition is there not just because of the guy who had 100 million euros worth of WWII paintings here in Munich and people claimed they belonged to previous generations. This could be extended EU wide

I also belong to one or 2 of these facebbook groups but it seems when you offer opinion on grade and price you seem to be the devil and don't know what you've Talking about. I had one guy Last night being a bit of a tool, someone posted and asked a price of an ex mount and worn (probably Fine grade) 1817 half sov, this particualr poster Said his coin was worth £900-£1000, fair Play to the OP who said it would'nt be near that. I offered my tuppence worth and according to the poster i knew jack about coins, he eventually got naughty because he apparently knew it all but knew nothing. The expectation and then realisation of People like him is the reason i don't Post much on These groups, because if one person says its worth thousand that is the post that the owner of the coin will Focus on and the rest irrelevant, so i just ist and watch mostly and have a Little Smie. The difference here is its a dedicated site for coins and we mostly know what we're Talking about when coming to grade and pricing.
  15. Top left possibly Phillipino?
  16. I'm sure most Scottish Monarchs of that period face the Same way on Silver coinage but still unsure why it was different to the English coinage. Charles II especially who did'nt want to Face the Same was As Cromwell
  17. Yes its Scottish. The SCO in the REV legend and the thistles in the Angles gives it always and the fact Charles is Facing in the opposite direction to the English coinage, although i Wonder what that's about As he Never wanted to Face in the Same direction As Cromwell on his coinage
  18. I noticed in the description of what's happening in Germany that it states "when it comes to a dispute" so I'm assuming the 20 year provenance comes into play when someone lays claim to a Coin or hoard of coins? I signed this last night but it's actually the first time i've heard of this here, must keep up to date with it in the upcoming months. I wonder if they started this due to the guy in Munich who had paintings from the Nazi era which were found in his basement in Schwabing and a few heads laid claim to them being taken from relatives when Hitler was siezing things like this during the war?
  19. No one would be silly enough to buy your coin without a picture of the coin. So, lets have a high Resolution looksy
  20. It surprises me they only gave it a 65. Lovely coin
  21. The shilling Paul is showing was one of mine. I Sent images of this to Baldwins as i was thinking of consigning it to one of their auctions and the guy there basically said "don't bother, its not good enough" his grade was GF/NVF I thought it was better than that, my pics of the coin is attached
  22. If you use an Image Hosting site you won't have to worry about size
  23. It really is rare in high grade Peter. £130 was a bit steep though, flipping it on eBay and I would suspect a loss, not a quick profit, but as long as you're happy with it that's the main point, we only have a subjective opinion, but you're the buyer at the end of the day.
  24. I also know of another in UNC owned by rashenly. How much of the 63 was cleaned? There's black inbetween the teeth, the legends and the sails of the boat.
  25. Maybe ask Pam Weat for advice, she is a banknote dealer
