Here is a picture of an 1877 Davies 762 florin. On your example, the bottom edge of Victoria's dress is not very well defined and there is almost no discernible gap between the dress and the arc and trefoil border. My guess is that the WW has become obscured by the encroaching dress line. Is it possible to post the full picture Nick so we can see the cross on Viccies crown. In my very 1st 2 pictures you can quite clearly see the difference between the 2 rims to the trefoils, pic 1 has a gap whereas pic 2 has'nt

The difference between mine Nick and the picture you've uploaded is that Victorias bust is lower and nearer the rim, which is quite evident from the 2 pictures. I uploaded the both bust pictures of both florins and the distance between bust and rim is quite evident

Here is the coin in the very first post, the 1st picture and that bust coutout. The bust on this is higher than the rarer one, hence the no WW

Ok, apologies in advance for the size Peckris, but require it for the correct attribution. Both Florins are the same year 1877, 1 had stop after date, one doesn't. As far as i can see, there's no WW or die numbers on either, so can anyone help with correct ESC/SPINK numbers please. Edit: die 68 on the 1st one

I believe it was taken down, as Nick says, make what you will from that. It would pay people to take a regular look at this site, and a permanent link in a prominent place on this forum would help jog forgetful memories.

The reason i do what i do is because i care passionately about my hobby. I don't want people stung and ripped off by people like him. There's been some newcomers on the forum recently, those people are the mainstay of any dealer, ignore these people then you'll ignore future sales, I buy from many dealers on here, partly because you have what i want, and partly because i want to support you, when i show you whats happening, do you suport me? Hands up those passionate people

Dave, That's the thing it is YOUR hobby, you need to chill out and let everyone else look after themselves, there are multiple aspects of this hobby that are frustrating, but the positives far outway the negatives for me. There is nothing wrong in bringing something to peoples attention, but the constant posting on the issue can come over as quite aggressive in itself. Posting the facts about a situation on the forum I assume would be fine, and a good thing for everyone, but the outbursts of language and obvious frustration don't help your cause and if I was a newcomer they would come across as a personal grudge (similar to the other post that went off course) and I would probably ignore it. Just enjoy the collecting...take ten deep breaths, have a tipple and join back in with the banter Colin, when i posted facts, those FACTS were taken down due to the owner being apparently threatened by the arsehole in question

My main problem is Common knowledge , since picking up on this asshole i've obviously found out more, its seriously going to far for me, taking to much of My time and especially when people don't believe you. You are correct Colin, what i've mentioned on the forum looks like a grudge, but i know it isn't and so do several others. I've proved My point many times and don't need to do so again. Some have took notice of me (thank god) others are blinded by the bling/shine and general bullshit of a certain ebay seller. I've done all i can to get rid of this PLATT but uncortunatel. Forums get threatened with lawsuits and owners don't want to risk what i say is correct

I'm going to Pack in collecting, i'm seriously pissed of with what i've seen by some sellers and have decoded enough is enough, wankers like Martin Platt and his alter egos will spoil my enjoyment of this hobby. Those of you who are unaware of what goes on then feel free to ask, but i for one have had enough and intend to sell off what i have. I hope you are here on the forum for a while, young collectors are the backbone of collecting and you can learn a great deal from quite a few members here.
