  1. 1927 to 1936 reverse has the shorter thumb (as does the "1927" 1922) Long thumb, almost touching St george's cross is the norm for 1911 to 1926 David Thanks David
  2. Just wondering, i remember the thread here a few months back and the indicator was the thumb of Britt was straight on the shield and not pointing downwards. Any takers? Bigger picture hopefully
  3. Common type? Lol, i can find these to

  5. Lol, you are of course correct ski
  6. You THINK its overpriced David lol, its definately overpriced. 50 quid coin,
  7. "Do not store up for yourself coin treasures on earth, where moth and rust may corrupt ..." Bloody iphone spelling at its best yet again (honest)
  8. Nice to see you here, although i'm thinking that you're more here to ply your wares other than have an interest in collecting, but hey ho. Maybe if you do well out of the sales, you can maybe find a keyboard with a caps lock lol. Just took a quick look at your ebay, you want to charge a tenner to post international for a worn sixpence , lets be honest, it's never gonna cost that much in reality surely? Thats a bit OTT eh? It also looks like some of the silver coins have been polished unfortunately. The 1887 double Florin looks a likely candidate
  9. I would'nt touch his stuff with a bargepole to be honest. His grading is appaling. He had one up a few moths back at MS70. Not even PCGS have graded anything at that grade.
  10. Is it possible that a hammered coin can be anything other than VF or less grade wise? Also, when grading companies grade hammered stuff do they have a different criteria than they would do for milled coins?
  11. I did'nt realise a circle had an end Learn something new everyday
  12. I'm going to agree with Pecks theory based on that the toning is sitting far to nicely on the shields etc. Its certainly not unattractive, just a little odd why its just on those raised areas
  13. Yes - I left it out since my gold copy don't have this error. None the less Seuk, it should be noted so others can see what they are looking for.
  14. The bottom serif of the I in DEI looks buggered to, far to fat. In fact, the only I that looks right is the I in GRATIA
  15. I had one of these about 14 months ago, it was very convincing but as yours is, it was rotated 180 degrees, also the background lines in the quadrent where the 3 lions are went through the tail, the lines should'nt go through the tail.
  16. OY!!!!! 'Ave I bin wasting me time posting the last two years??? I'll come rahnd yer 'ouse and shove me wit right where the sun don't shine antartica? Azda, tell you son i say happy birthday Thank you hello17, his birthday is Monday 12th
  17. Take your hand of your hip when you say that Colin xxx or should we call you sweetcheeks
  18. Think that would depend on the grades Peck, 1827s are never normally seen above VF grade
  19. Ski, Dereks left hand picture is quite visible, it has a squarish rim, whereas the right hand picture has a round rim
  20. The 1868. Lovely coin in the hand. Yup, nice coin. I have my eye on a little rarity at the moment to, don't wanna say just yet as it might alert ermmmmm others. Will let you know and show next week IF i get it or NOT. Very cryptic eh :rolleyes:I can say however that Gouby has it as R5 and very rare in high grade
  21. Agreed, they are decent coins, a few with a lot of lustre, which is normallyl what our friend tends to go for. Just curious (if he's bought any) at what premium will he try and sell them for. Saying that, he might not have got any, but its definately what he tends to go for, the pattern was cheap enough for him to make a few bob i think.
  22. You won't see them all, because I've got one of them! Which one Derek?
  23. And of course they'll all be choice UNC, full lustre and undervalued. Lol, naturally and with prooflike fields, although only one will need a slight helping hand and this is the best we've EVER seen etc etc, our records show blah blah blah
