  2. 2nd goal was an attempted cross me thinks which went all wrong and ended up as goal of the season. Howay the Toon next weekend
  3. Unfortunately, polished coins are just that.................shite, in order to try and create more money than the coin is worth. If it's toned, so what, leave it be, you might be doing more harm than good in the long run. Peck, you do surprise me.
  4. So the headline from the BBC is MI6 death: Gareth Williams 'probably' killed unlawfully..................this obviously regards the MI6 agent who was murdered and found in a bag in his own flat My own headline to the BBC would read as follows............ NO SHIT SHERLOCK..............Disnae tak a rocket scientist tae work that oot eh..............Geezus, some people are numpties, honestly
  5. Gypsy kiss = piss? Skin and blister = sister?
  6. I find it Strange that redknapp was overlooked especially when he seemed the overwhelming odds on favourite to get the job.

  8. Just got this, thought it might be helpful. Gordon V. DOUBLEDAY. Auktion 6.6.1987 u. 8.6. 1988 Anglo-Saxon Coins (Nr. 1-637, 21 Tfln); Norman and Plantegenet Coins (Nr. 638-1094, 32 Tfln.).
  9. Is there no record of this lol? Surely this is the place where someone would know the answer Really lol?
  10. Roy Hodgson is new England boss and he's getting slated already. So bets at the ready as to how long he'll last? 18 months from me :-))
  11. Why don't you count them and get back to us
  12. Perhaps because they couldn't be sure whether the house was empty of other occupants and with the possibility of a weapon inside surprise was the best tactic. John will be better placed to answer. From what Chris wrote a few posts up, the were actually looking for a gun in the house, not someone with a gun inside the house, if that was the case, it would be an armed siege surely?. So i'm still a bit perplexed as to why the needed to do the door.
  13. That's Tayside Clive, different legislation North of the border. English Forces will normally only pay where they have made an error eg wrong house, wrong door, did not attempt to contact keyholder etc etc. What i don't get though is, if the keyholder was already in custody of his own free will, why was there the need to smash the door down?
  14. I'd be more concerned for the next tennant if the shooter thinks the previous is still there :-/
  15. The gothic crown is a difficult one as no one seems to know why they are fake. Perhaps weight is the only logical way to Tell? Northumberland seems to be the most common at the minute but with the high number of gothics circulating, these could come a close 2nd
  16. There's certainly a few trawling about on ebay, but not just from China, i noticed this myself
  17. That's what I thought .... It was graded as a forgery by CGS and I am awaiting a refund, fingers crossed! At least now you have peace of mind, see how this forum works. And now you have the stisfaction of going back to the seller AND auction house and kicking some arse.....Good result for you and those who actually spotted it. Well done the forum. If in doubt, it always pays to ask questions first rather than lose later....Well done people.
  18. If its been in a hoard, it would have to have been cleaned by archeologists surely?
