  1. I like the Jam also but you were either a mod or a skinhead in the late 70s early 80s sothe specials and madness win the day. Then it was onto the new tomantic phase as they seem to be getting all the women
  2. I don't think you can get a train to the USA from the UK either lol
  3. My wife collects coins, mostly from my pocket
  4. Everything on ebay is rare Rob
  5. I think Paulus hit the nail on the head with "eveloution of a collector" we all start at humble beginnings of being a collector, whether we've stumbled into collecting or something was handed down or started/stopped amd recently started AGAIN as a child And now into adulthood. Habits change, coin preferences change and appeal of certain coinage changes as well as disposable income. Many things are factored in when buying Coins and it will inevitably change through the passing of time with the above factors. I doubt 75% here are 100% happy with what we have but the searching is a most satisfying part when you find something that you know might not be rivaled.
  6. The E is a blocked die as you can still see part of it, the lower limb would have to be completely missing
  7. He also did the same for the Henry VIII testoon I believe. I wonder if he adopts children. I'd nominate myself. I understand what you're saying Rob, but as you also say, not everyone has an endless Pot of Cash and even buying a high grade common hammered coin these days costs money and so its really down to staying focused on what you want from your collection and saving the cash whilst waiting.
  8. I'd very much doubt he'd sell any of that. I read on his facebook page some American offered a silly amount for his Queen mary coin, turned it down obviously
  9. Does he print money for a living? Some amazing coins he has, need a tissue to hand when looking at them
  10. I knew i saw it somewhere
  11. Obviously grade and rarity don't always go hand in hamd then.
  12. Ask geoff cope Rob, or perhaps you just aquired it for hin
  13. Not a fake but the picture has been taken from chards website 261657265929 so definate fraud, reported but nothing happening
  14. You still have'nt told me how you do that great result though. Looks like its in a slab. Slab debate anyone?
  15. Me either, hence i said i normally pay within 24hrs, my last coin purchase from there was paid within the hour.
  16. Oooooooh very bloomin nice Stewie
  17. Moot what you wish. As it stands ebay (whatever you say) gives buyers 7 days. I believe that is correct unless you can point us to something in the ebay small print that states otherwise? NO, thought not.
  18. My point did'nt regard ebay, it was bigger businesses in general. A BIN is obviously different as they want money there and then, the talking point was auctions and NOT BINs As for opening a case after 3 days, yes this is true, but you can't close it until the 7th or 8th now can you lol
  19. Ok course its fair to keep a seller waiting or else there woild'nt be a 7 day rule, it would be a 3 day rule. Plus it also gives time for a buyer to say NO which in turn would save the sellers time of posting/packing, trips to post offices and saving fuel etc. in larger businesses buyers normally wait 3 months before paying an invoice
  20. If you read ebay rules on payment it states a buyer is allowed 7 days to pay. I think opening cases after 3 days is a little pushy in my opinion, i would certainly open one after 5 if a buyer had'nt emailed too say it would be delayed or payment would be made on a certain day.
  21. Your's does have a 2 in date (1592)! Lol yes i know but i was more curious of your date, plus why on the OBV of yours, but as you say its easy To mistake an E for a 2 lol, Obviously if a pile of punches were sitting around Then it Would easily picked up, but that would then beg the question as to why more errors did'nt occur she was a bit of a tyrant, our Liz! Sounds a bit Ian Duncan Smith
  22. Your's does have a 2 in date (1592)! 23. i would open a case after 5 days as i think its Long enough, you don't want to piss a buyer off by opening a case after 2 or 3 days as buyers know they have 7 days to pay. I generally pay within 24hrs of buying something anyway or else email the seller if it will take longer, but some People, such as Scott mentioned in another post somehwere sometimes don't see that they've actually won something and have a bill
  24. But then surely the 2 would have to be in use for it to be in Hand or avaliable? If a twice punched P was used over a 2 then i'm assuming the first strike was to hide the error and the 2nd to make the P look like a P as your other Picture does'ntt look much like an E
  25. Is the 2 in your 2nd picture from The same date Stewie? Its an upside down 2 in the legend?
