  1. Don Everley is before my time, but the Maestro of Reggae Lee Perry was today reported to have died. Sad news.
  2. "choose files" now works for me, but I don't see any picture previews on the dialogue - however clicking the Open button does result in the picture getting uploaded.
  3. Trying again... Interesting. The dialogue still doesn't show any picture previews (just the revolving "I'm doing something you fool!" gear wheel) - but I clicked the Open button and it uploaded the picture here. Guess I'll have to get used to this quirky behaviour...
  4. Could well be. I just clicked "choose files" and can browse through folders, but when I get to an individual picture for upload, I just get the revolving gearwheel. Has anyone uploaded a picture today?
  5. I remember that us kids used to generally prefer one over the other, but there was no hard and fast rule - it was perfectly acceptable to like both!
  6. I don't know if Legacy Chromium is available for Windows? If so, that might work.
  7. He has changed his mind about Brown Sugar - he has said for quite a number of years that he'd never write a song with those lyrics again. Still a great track though! And this year is the 50th anniv of Sticky Fingers (my favourite Stones album).
  8. Very sad. My era. I knew a Stone would have to die sometime, but I didn't think we would wait until 2021 for it to happen.
  9. Bit before my time. The Beatles awoke my own interest in pop music.
  10. Some years ago there was a similar hoard of UNC 1912H pennies - I can't remember how much mine cost but probably less than £100? (Just looked it up - £37!!)
  11. I think Eddie Grundy got the message...
  12. On the right you can clearly see the top edge of the slanted 5, but as you work from right to left it gradually either fades or is filled. In all other respects the two 5s are identical. My votes goes to it being the same die.
  13. The right hand end looks like a recut die, while the left hand end looks like the same die but more worn or with fill, along the 'slanted' top bar.
  14. It's a PITA having to do it, but uploading the rejected post as an image in the form of a screenshot will always work.
  15. Some of the members here are actually in the FB group as well, so they're getting replies from people who have decent knowledge.
  16. @Rob might know about scott as they're both Mancunians?
  17. Take a screenshot of your post - e.g. in Notepad or whatever the Windows equivalent of a basic WP is - and upload the picture here. That would (1) get around the problem and (2) might give us a clue why it's been rejected?
  18. I got this umpteen times when trying to post a funny review from Amazon. Eventually I realised - after many edits - that it was objecting to various trade / company names in the post, and possibly interpreted this as spam? Anyway, once I "disguised" those names it posted successfully. I don't know if that applies to your failure, but it might be worth looking at to see?
  19. Oh yes. Peter. And Scott.
  20. Proof, as in 'prove it's a coin'?
  21. Nor me. It's not an indicator like whether the sea intersects a tooth on the right or goes into a space, which is clear and obvious. (Ouch, that will teach me - or not! - to notice whether there is a new page...)
  22. I love that he says "...pre-1971 bronze will soon be out of circulation..." - in July 1971 it had but a month to survive! I'll bet that few bun pennies were around during that month though.
  23. Maybe, but presumably its rarity is no different from when this topic was first created! Why does it refuse to die....?
