  1. What you have is probably a Half Penny or a Farthing, but we will need dimentions and the coin alloy (Copper, Silver etc...) to tell you more...
  2. Its been a while since i started the old 'Top 10 coins in your collection' topic, and i suspect that you have probably got a few better coins, or started to like or dislike some of your other coins...so this is the new 'Top 10 Coins in your Collection' topic... --------- Ok, heres mine: 1) 1935 Farthing BU - Not arrivd yet, but i love the picture on colins site. 2) 1938 Penny BU. 3) 1900 Penny Lusterous Unc. 4) 1875 H RF.G Farthing Lusterous EF - Unc. 5) 1953 2+B Farthing BU. 6) 1970 Proof Threepence - i have a mysterious lust for it 7) 1918 'Brightened' Farthing BU. 8) 1853/2 Farthing EF very little toning. 9) 1855 Penny VF - EF 10) 1944 Silver Threepence VF - EF
  3. Ok, after listening through a few or my albums, i have decided my favourite 6 songs (in no particular order): You've lost that Lovin' Feelin' - The Righteous Brothers - (for some reason it reminds me of George V ) Roxanne - The Police We Will Rock You - Queen Bat out of Hell - Meat Loaf Without You - Nilsson December '63 - The Four Seasons
  4. hmm, i still know that silver wasnt on 'cupro-nickel' coins from 1947...i am not stupid HPJ
  5. sorry to say this, but shut up HPJ...bronze coins are called coppers, they are not copper...i am not going to waste time typing, or saying cupro-nickel every time i mention that i am crap at grading it! ...
  6. read the quote above yours HPJ...i think that it is wierd too, but i am not really good at grading silver coins, but it does have full lustre with very little scratching...
  7. i have the rarest in practicly mint condition, i thought that was what you had when you started this topic william...
  8. no clue...anyone could go to tony clayton's site...
  9. If were lucky then we may be the only ones in the world to own them
  10. nope, but i will for christmas...hopefully
  11. I meant that a cabinet shelf can hold more farthings than pennies
  12. the royal mint's website says that 1,413,455,170 1992 10p's were minted, so that means that there are less then 141345 were minted...and that isnt too rare, but it is rare...
  13. It sounds to me as if you are scared of the competition...i can collect what i want, when i want...also, i can far easily store farthings
  14. Well, li'll wait a bit first
  15. are they in good condition?...i have a practicly mint state one which i found in my change the other day...
  16. Yep, as i have said before, i was starting to fancy farthings...but now i love them... Its like an affair really: Get married to Penny - Notice a really attractive person named Farthing - Fall in love with Farthing - Ring up for a divorce with Penny

  18. on bronze victorian coinage, there is a lot of mention about berries, (5 berries/4 berries etc...) what are they?
  19. A tip: 1) is there much point in having '1955 (noted 2000) "500x BU", or '1955 (noted 1999) "Buy / The Bag" Colin Cooke offered 2500 1955's "little beauties"...it doesn't really need to be there!
