  1. it's 16 where we are... it might be that here...i just thought that an adult fare would be for the 18 y.o. and up!
  2. When one reaches the age of 18, the fares for my bus are £1.20, but knowing the ever-rising fares then it will probably be £2.00 for me... ... I couldn't think of what else mongrels were commonly known as, that is why i didnt put half-breeds...
  3. Hmm...you had to put Copper, Bronze and Copper-plated steel as three different choises...I have voted for bronze, seeing as i am collecting Bronze pennies at the moment, but i like the Copper, Bronze and C-ps all the same
  4. What you have is a churchill commemorative crown. If it has never been in circulation or is undamaged with full lustre then the most you can expect for it is about £2, yet it would probably sell for around 75p - £1.35
  5. I can understand your duslike for children. Some of them are just complete bast**ds, some of them are ok though (like us). yes...i would say that there are four types of child: 1) The teachers pets. (the top of the class know-it-all's) 2) The normal kids. (us) 3) The mongrols. (if i can still be politicaly correct by saying mongrols) 4) The Bast**ds. (The Bast**ds)
  6. A coin dealer? (just a suggestion) --- I am lucky with the bus fares, there are 5 stops that each cost fifty pence, including the 'next stop'!...i get off at the fourth stop, so i suppose it is not too bad though...
  7. Do you think that Religious schooling is a good idea? ...I heard on the news this morning that there are plans being made for seperate religious schools to be set up across the country (Christian schools for Christians, Muslim schools for Muslims etc...). Do you aggree that this would be a good idea? My answer: No!...for two reasons: 1) Racial seperation - Eventually, everyone would seperate; atm, most catholics know what sikh's believe, and vice-versa...But, there would eventually be a stage where people do not know a thing about different religions. (but only if it was to go to far OTT). 2) Where would i stand? - I dont remember the religious name for what i 'am', but i believe in one God that created this world, but i do not belong, and do not want to belong to a single religion...what would i be classed as? ... Now, what do you think?
  8. no!!!, i meant that it was either 30 or 31 days in july...not february
  9. Yes, exactly...the nearest comprehencive school to my house is a school where the teachers are beaten up by the pupils because they did not let them take drugs during lessons...(seriously, i have had a tour around there)!!!
  10. hehe, your birthday is either 9 or 10 days before mine (depending on the amount of days in july)
  11. *looks around the forum feeling scared*... , like spies
  12. god thats cheap!!! ...in year seven, my bus fair home was 35p ...in year eight, my bus fair home was 40p ...now (year nine), my bus fair home is 50p EVERY DAY!!!
  13. sounds fun...btw, lynne donnelly is my mum, i am james
  14. 223? 249? things are done far differently where i live
  15. well i voted for the UKIP so hey you know... i would have voted for the Referendum Party too back when that was the euro-sceptic party, but i wasn't voting age back then, alas... can i just ask; how old are you sylvester?
  16. The 11+ is what students have taken since the late/early 50's...what it is is that you take your '11+', and if you pass then you can get into a grammar school, otherwise you have to go a secondary or a private school...i think that the total mark for the 11+ is 150 (not sure), i got 111, and the school that i now go to required 110 for the pass mark in 2001 when i took my 11+... SAT's are basicly tests of the three main subjects (English, Maths and Science), and it will allow ones teacher(s) to see how well you are doing in school...I think it is year 6 and 9, i think there is an exam called the KAT's in year 5... Nowadays its; Infantry, Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4, Y5, Y6, 11+ test, Y7, Y8, Y9, Y10, Y11, GCSE test, Y12, Y13, A-Level test, University/Collage/Leave school
  17. Ok thanks, but i will not make any promisses about buying; i have asked colin cooke to show a picture of his 1896 panny for sale, if i am not satisfied then i will probably buy that 1912 H penny with the 1906 penny...
  18. Looks like the conservatives have pulled through, even though i am now siding with the UKIP... The results 1) Tories 27% 2) Labour 23% 3) UKIP 16% 4) Lib Dem's 15% 5) Others ?% 6) Green Party 6% ...Now all we need is Tony Blair to get the sack ... I still think that England should stay far from reach of Europe...!
  19. my cartwheel penny (in my opinion) would have been in 'fairly good' condition until i learned about grading...so i would say about £10 - £20 for it
  20. i managed to squeese out £3 a week from my parent from passing my 11+, i now get £4 a week from my parents, and £1 a week from my grandparents...
  21. I didnt really know where to post this, but may i just ask little questions about pennies that you have for sale...: 1)1853 AEF-EF = does it have lustre? 2)1912 EF = does this one have lustre? 3)1906 GEF = does it retain detail for the hair on edwards head? 4)= Do you have any other pennies that are for sale but are not listed on your for sale list that cost under £74.50? 5)= Do any of the above have any indications of being cleaned? ...i would like to buy a penny, or two, that fits into my sylibus (sp?)(EF - BU with lustre), and i was wondering what would be the best buy for me for under £74.50... ... edit: You also have this: Hmm...sounds interesting...spink's catalouge says that proofs exist for most years in the bronze series! ...please do not be upset though if i do not buy from you, i will probably check eBay and other sites over this week to make up my decision...
  22. need a condition, and its type...(10 leaves, 11 leaves or proof!)
  23. oh well, gone past my £74.50 target
