  1. nope, but i will for christmas...hopefully
  2. I meant that a cabinet shelf can hold more farthings than pennies
  3. the royal mint's website says that 1,413,455,170 1992 10p's were minted, so that means that there are less then 141345 were minted...and that isnt too rare, but it is rare...
  4. It sounds to me as if you are scared of the competition...i can collect what i want, when i want...also, i can far easily store farthings
  5. Well, li'll wait a bit first
  6. are they in good condition?...i have a practicly mint state one which i found in my change the other day...
  7. Yep, as i have said before, i was starting to fancy farthings...but now i love them... Its like an affair really: Get married to Penny - Notice a really attractive person named Farthing - Fall in love with Farthing - Ring up for a divorce with Penny
  8. I now have the following farthings on their way from colin cooke; 1935 BU - Very Rare 1950 BU 1951 BU 1952 BU 1953 1+A BU 1953 1+B BU - Rare ...i will cancel my order from chris, sorry ...the prooflike 1895 farthing can now be yours william
  9. on bronze victorian coinage, there is a lot of mention about berries, (5 berries/4 berries etc...) what are they?
  10. A tip: 1) is there much point in having '1955 (noted 2000) "500x BU", or '1955 (noted 1999) "Buy / The Bag" Colin Cooke offered 2500 1955's "little beauties"...it doesn't really need to be there!
  11. Does it have an edge inscription?
  12. wowza...just found this (This) colin grades it as near EF/GEF, and its only £39!!!, what do you think?
  13. so you dont have any from the 80's then
  14. knowing colin he will have more then one
  15. Ok then, unless there are 2 more votes on the 1953 and 1773, i will be purchasing the 1935 in approx. 1h
  16. Following the 'what era of music do you like' poll, what is your favourite song and/or artist (singer/group)? --- Hmm...i had to ask myself that one...hmm...well, i would say that it is a big clash between; Brian Adams - Summer of '69 - Can't really describe... 9.5/10 Brian Adams, Rod Stewart and Sting - All for one - Very Inspirational, nice words... 10/10 Cher - Walking in Menphis (sp?) - Nice beat, nice words... 10/10 Cher - Jessie James - Nice beat, nice words, tells a nice story... 10/10 Bangles - Eternal Flame - Very Inspirational...prefer this to Atomic Kittens version... 9/10 Labi Siffre - (Something Inside) So Strong - Brilliant, Highly Isperational... 10/10 LeAnn Rimes - How Do I Live - Very Inspirational, Very Powerful!... 9/10 Cher - Jipsies, (sp?) Tramps and Thieves - Nice beat, nice words... 8/10 Mott the Hoople (sp?) - All the young dudes - Nice beat, love the electric guitar... 9.5/10 Derick and the Dominoes - Layla - Nice beat, love the electric guitar... 9/10 Brian Adams, Um...Sporty Spice (forgotten name!) - Baby When You're Gone - Nice words, nice beat 9/10 Queen - We Will Rock You - Brilliant Guitar playing by Brian May... 10/10 Hmm...not many ...there are more, but i think it will be just a bit too much
  17. I do not like the idea of doing specific year sets, mostly because i would not have enough room to store them all...i think that i would like to specialise in Farthings, Half Pennies and/or Pennies when i am older, at the moment, as you said, i am just buying Farthings/Pennies from all years, but i suppose that eventually i would get a bit knotted up with the years that i have and havent aqquired. I have a particular eye on Colin Cooke's 1862 BU Farthing, 1882 H BU Farthing and his 1873 BU Farthing, which i will probably try to get for my birthday... Um, on the subject of farthings, are there any pictures of a 1875 H full broach Farthing?
  18. yes, but then i had a better idea; i can get better victorian farthings with my B'day money ...
  19. Well, not nessesarily william...the 1951 penny has a mintage of 120,000 but there are usually many examples for sale...
  20. What should i buy? i have £40 left, and i would like to purchase one of the above, what would you say is best?
  21. what era of music do you like? --- I like the 'Golden Oldies', but i do like some of the Older stuff (5 - 15 years), i have been bought up into a world of old music
  22. hmm...me detects that you like silver coinage, maybe you will be a future chalenger to sylvesters collection
