  1. Thanks. I really stretched the budget for that one.

  2. I see this example on Numista: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces378246.html As noted there, extremely rare and should be gold. As such, quite a high chance of being a replica or fake. Picture of the other side is what we need first along with some idea of how it was discovered. If it proves to be genuine, you might have quite a valuable piece there!

  4. I also messaged him yesterday saying that I was going to contact Ebay today. The combination seems to have worked.

  5. The dolphin and the capital Omicron and Lambda (ΟΛ) are all associated with the Greek colony of Olbia, on the Black Sea coast (modern day Ukraine, I think), but do not have any reference books on Greek coins so can't tell you any more than that, but sure someone with more knowledge of ancient coins and denominations could. As copper123 says though, it might well not be genuine - lots of copies exist of "ancient" coins, both very modern and somewhat older.

  6. Listing has now been ended by the seller. I messaged them yesterday again pointing out it was an obvious fake - I don't know if this had any effect.

  9. Sad day for me yesterday, seeing my lovely Cherry tree like this! 😭 It was a mature tree over 40 years ago when we moved in, but now seen it's day, and had to go before it dropped on someone's head.
