  1. You’re confusing me now too, Pete! But the EBay link you give above seems to me to be D of DEI to a tooth, and a thick rim which is right for the common variety. The cropped image you first gave does show the D to a gap, and the rim does seem thick too, though it is difficult to compare on a partial coin image. Jerry

  2. Some 1970 sets sell for a premium as there were two dies used for the OBV on the Florin ,Halfcrown ,Sixpence and Half penny. The Half penny is hard to find and collectors pay quite a lot more for one ,D of DEI too gap or I of DEI to tooth. Always worth checking to see if you have one.

  3. Never checked out Auction World before - they had another 1841 proof penny this time last year as well on sixbid archive - but that looks like copper rather than bronzed PF63 - 520000Y. I liked their completely uncleaned 1826 proof halfcrown PF62
