I have considered the idea of digitising the entire series of Coin Monthly and publishing them online for collectors to use. It's a hell of a task, and one that I would be happy to do (slowly) if I could be sure that there are no copyright issues. Unfortunately, when I tried to establish ownership of the copyright that proved to be a very tricky task, and so I abandioned the idea, even though I believe it would be very worthwhile.

That'd be a great project.

Not sure if you would be too keen on this one as they can reach dinner plate dimensions. My wife was taking a shower and felt something and brushed it off not realizing the size of the spider. The next thing I heard was Johnnn! The best way to deal with them is a rolled up news paper or a pint beer glass and a piece of stiff cardboard if you are charitable. not that they are dangerous. However a few years ago I had an encounter wit a funnel web spider which is deadly. I was down stairs where I lived and about to put my thongs on (flip flops) and this spider reared up at me. It was dispatched but it was a deadly funnel web. We have plenty of venoms animals here.

True. Though it's also possible he was approached before CM folded (i.e. due to their financial difficulties) or even after (with a view to resuscitating the title)? I may still do that Wiki page sometime! Though I'd post it here first to get members' views and any necessary corrections.

Yet spiders perform a great job. If they get into the house, I always let them be. I also leave a towel over the bath in case they get in through the plughole. Although if the cat spots one that she can get at, she'll be on it and have it eaten within a few seconds.
