  1. I think this coin must have been almost uncirculated when dropped. Over the years of being in the ground it had taken its toll, maybe if found it the year before it would have been perfect. It still gave me a massive buzz finding it so it still gets a place with my best finds.

  2. Hi Courtney, I'm a bit disappointed that after several emails for an image of lot 85 on your auction 28 (Argentum), I still haven't even received an acknowledgement. I know the lot is not one of the biggest earners, but I would have expected at least a response! I hope it's due to a back-log or something similar and not because it only has a few hundred pounds as the estimate. I know it's not your fault personally, but I feel at liberty to have a little grumble as the whole BSJ experience is frustrating and seems convoluted in my mind. Cheers, Descartes.

  4. Assuming remaining in the EU could be the option adopted I wonder how the UK will work with the EU after all the angst caused by the referendum. If UK stays will it be under the existing arrangements or will the UK have to adopt the Euro for example? I also wonder how the. UK can live with its self after being beaten into submission by a bunch of Europeans whose only aim is diminish the UK..

  6. I don't think she appreciates that your offer of £1 is literally a million times closer to the coin's true value than her asking price (of a million pounds).

  7. True but do not lose sight of the fact that a majority of the people voted to leave. Not a victory for democracy.

  9. Peck's images are still relatively small, low resolution and also black and white although he has a greater number of partial enlargements. You may be better looking through auction sites' archives for photos of actual specimens that have been sold. That's one of the reasons that I created my varieties website, to provide better images than the various reference books.
