I've been sat at my PC all day upgrading from 8.1 to 10 and it's finally finished after about 5 hours ! If anyone has got some important tips on using W10, please let me know. I'm sure I'll be finding all sorts of problems in the coming days.

Intersting thing about my own area of interest, sixpences, is that the more I delve into it and the more I buy, the more I find to buy. In fact my 'buy list' seems to get longer and not shorter as I identify this or that variety. Also, I have no problem in buying multiple examples of the same coin and I am always looking to upgrade.

I had a batch completed on Saturday 23rd July (of which this was one) .. finally! I started Jerry as it coincided with my grand daughter being born and just thought i would buy a few to put away until she was 18/21and give me a bit of an interest. Definately not an investment although not totally mad to not hope for the return to be ok for her. Moving on anything i am buying now apart from possibly the odd one will just be for myself. Just collect what you want. Buy as many or as few as you want. There are no rules. Most people stop due to either having completed, or being frustrated due to an inability to complete. Widen your horizon and it is likely you will be pushing up the daisies before you find nothing to buy. All assuming that you still want to collect, of course. I refocussed because the pace of acquisition had slowed dramatically. Still didn't stop me creating a 'Too nice to sell' category though, so I guess I still kept part of the original focus.

Personally I love collecting coins so I would choose an area that interests me, research it, and start acquiring (while still looking for those elusive penny gaps!)

Hello Everyone who had been following this thread. I have just heard back from HA who had submitted the coin to NGC for re-evaluation. NGC have confirmed that the coin is 'struck and genuine'. Therefore, it is not a cast fake item.I am happy with their findings and can finally put this issue to bed. Thanks to everyone who supported and encouraged me. As for the person who started all this, on Coin Talk, I would say....Hope you have more interesting things to do in life and perhaps instead of writing books you need to do some research first.
