richtips86 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Apologies for the tongue in cheek subject heading, however, I was wondering if people could give some 'business advice'. I have been going through my granddad's pennies I inherited and now knowing that if there's a little H or KN on certain dates, makes them a more rare coin.In so doing, I have discovered the following:5 x 1912 H1 x 1918 KN2 x 1919 HNone of them are in anything better than Fine and I'm not even considering keeping them, so in terms of realising the best price for them, would people advise selling them in little "lots" (obviously limited by the fact there are fewer 1918 and 1919) or sell them all individually?ThanksRichard Quote
Rob Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 If no better than fine, then value will be minimal. In the 1960s people stashed away the 'rare' varieties leaving them more common than the 'common' types in grades found in circulation. Quote
Peckris Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 You could try them individually on eBay, given two conditions :1. List them on a 'free listings' day2. Have adequate pictures Quote
copper123 Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 this is very strange he describes the coins as incredably good condition in one sentence then says they are in no better than fine grade , like i said very strange Quote
Nordle11 Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 But then he does go on to say "apologies for the tongue in cheek subject heading". Quote
