NRP Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Will any forum members be attending Coinex? Quote
pokal02 Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 I'll be there on Friday - probably just window shopping as the wallet's taken a few blows @ St James's & Spink this week. Quote
azda Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 I's be surprised if anyone had any money left after the last week or so thats gone by Quote
NRP Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 Very true!!! Lets hope it isn't a white wash!! Though I am strongly against the £50 early bird entry I think it puts off far too many collectors and only benefits dealers who aren't exhibiting giving them chance to scour the floor before anyone else to get the bargains - not that there will be many of those!!! rpeddie Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 id love to go(would be my first coin fair thing) but unfortunately i'm working so maybe next year Quote

It was the 2 to gap variety which I wasn't even aware of until two weeks earlier when you auctioned on for £400. Quote
NRP Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 Great find!!!! So even if you had paid £50 to get in you would have still been very much in profit ;-) Quote

If you arrived at 2pm, you might as well wait until 2:30 and pay just £5.00. I might go down on Saturday, but I'd go for the £5 ticket. Quote
Peter Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 The London fairs are the only regular fairs I haven't been to.Basically I like the Birmingham and Wakefield fairs because they are on a Sunday. If you Q about 9:45am you will be amongst the 1st 50 in.I would like some feedback from the Coinex ETC.In the main are they not the same dealers on the circuit? I will try to give feedback after the show or maybe even during the show if it is that quiet and I am bored ;-) Quote
PhilipC Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 I'll be there on Friday too - if anyone wants to meet for coffee/sandwiches during/before/after I'd be delighted to meet fellow forum members!Philip Quote

coin watch Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Well did anyone attend this one? I've attended the last ten but thought I would give this year a miss. So just wondering if it was any good?.... Quote
NRP Posted September 30, 2013 Author Posted September 30, 2013 I was exhibiting and overall yes it was good. I did mainly all my business on the Friday and although quieter during the period of the "early bird" entrance it really picked up after that!! The Saturday started slowly but after an hour it became extremely busy!! From a dealer point of view the Friday was much better. I haven't done Coinex before I believe it wasnt quite as busy as last year. Quote
