RLC35 Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 This is a coin I just purchased from Stephen Hill, at the New York International Numismatic Convention, in NYC. It is a 1875 Narrow Date Penny. I'll send the Obverse in the next post, since the file size is too big to add both to the same post. Quote

You're putting together quite a collection!Much nicer than mine which, for comparison, is:Accumulator...you have a very nice example...not a lot of difference.Mine is passable, but yours is a terrific strike. If you compare the definition in Britannia's fingers, for example, yours is streets ahead. Quote
RLC35 Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 RFG for REG and looks like the bottom colon after the G in REG looks to be missingAzda,You have a good eye! The colons you refer to are as a result of a "filled" die. They are both there, but appear to have been "broken" off, with a uneven edge left where the colon dot would be, as a result. I also picked up a uncirculated 1895 YH Farthing. It does have a rather streaked toning though. I will post it later. Quote
