VickySilver Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Just a question from my forgetful self. My recall is that London Coins now has an alternated bidding site or service that allows for live bidding. Like maybe biddr.com or some such perhaps? Quote
Paddy Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Do you mean the live bidding that you can access from their main website? It only becomes available on the day of the auction and you can't even see the button for it at any other time, which I found rather confusing too. Quote
jelida Posted August 11 Posted August 11 At least two of the Victorian pennies are mis-identified, including the F28 I think, so do check the photos, not the text. Jerry 1 1 Quote
Paddy Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Reference my comment on a link in LCA site - CANCEL! I think I was thinking of another auction house - possibly Noonans. Quote

Martinminerva Posted August 11 Posted August 11 There's more die pair misidentifications than just two! A poor show - those claimed to be rarities are not and aren't worth anything approaching their estimates! Wonder if they've got a new "expert" cataloguer?! Quote
Bruce Posted August 11 Posted August 11 Agree, need to be very careful about description and their grading when going through LCA auction. Quote
VickySilver Posted August 11 Author Posted August 11 Hmm, yes rather a mixed bag with them. I haven't gotten much the last couple of years from them as a result. I thought I recalled that you could bid live through another service such as sixbid or biddr, or ?? some other. Don't laugh, the one that is something like "insulin", LOL, or invaluable or something.... Quote
blakeyboy Posted August 11 Posted August 11 T and T in Tunbridge Wells use EasyLive Auctions- I kept track of a pile of coins and stamps I put through and it worked well. Quote

VickySilver Posted August 12 Author Posted August 12 Hmm, I am trying to locate the upcoming sale and think my search criteria must be off. Quote
