That's a thought. RM will surely make a Mickey Mouse 50p soon. Municipal refuse collections started in ca 1918 and so there could be a "110 years of refuse collection" coming up. It's a key public service that we all need!

I notice instead of Carolus, Charles is known as charles on the new coins another really big break from tradition.

There is no latin name for elizabeth so it was not changed

Some coin collectors have been collecting rubbish for just as long.....:-)

I also initially think the same like the wording "束"  before, however it is a bit different after close look.

Its basically the same if the strokes are there just as in differnt handwriting or a stylised version.
