  1. Yes. It is a beauty better in hand than it looks. The mark on the chin is not the coin as I took the photo through a quadrum case and its on that!
  2. Maybe nothing major but something I have been looking for for quite some time. The 1944 Obv 2 Rev C*, a lot harder to get than I intitially thought especially in top condition! Photo taken on my phone so not as clear and crisp as I would like.
  3. I would have thought near good Fine to near VF. Don't think near EF at all, although I don't have it in hand. The mustache seems well defined so maybe better in hand and the photo does not do it justice. I am no expert and am learning all the time. Sure someone will be along soon to give a better grading.
  4. One of my favourite coins in that lot. There is something about the Edward VII florins, stunning coins. One set of silvers that I could definitely go for!!!!
  5. yes please Pete. . You have my email but can send it again of need. Thanks Brian
  6. Quadrums for me too. The uniformity across the range make it ideal. Plus they fit correctly protect your coins well and look great.
  7. It is a nice error. I like it!
  8. If I get a second before the meeting its yours, unless you get one before?
  9. My friend just handed me the first Battle of Britain 50p. It is almost mint with only a couple of tiny bag marks. He has been looking for one for me since release. He's a taxi drive and gets loads of 50 pence's every day. First he has seen. So looks like they have just hit our area now!
  10. Great buy! Was out this morning so never saw any of the new listings! Great addition to your error collection ?
  11. I like that one Matt. Where did you dig that one up from?
  12. Thanks Pete, My coins arrived this morning. Great coins at a great price. Appreciate the deal. The coins have already been placed into the collection and look brilliant!! Cheers Brian
  13. Curious to see what you guys think. Has this had the hair etched back on? Something just doesn't look right to me !!! Maybe wrong though. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1853-Victoria-gothic-florin-/391391034113?hash=item5b20b93b01:g:q8IAAOSwQYZWy2Ho
  14. Lovely coin Rob. I have a few nice farthings, will dig them out and take some pics!
  15. Is there not something protruding out from the top of the 6 there too!
  16. if no one else interested I wouldn't mind it Pete.
  17. I am still looking for the blocked "2" 1922 penny. Hadn't realised there was a blocked "5" 1915. Will have to dive into the penny bags and see if I can be lucky ??. Think this maybe a nice side collection.
  18. They don't seem to have hit this area yet at all. I have friends in shops and pubs as well as on the Taxi's and they have all been trying to get one for me. So far no one has had one. Will text my sister in law in Luton. They always seem to get new coin releases before we do!!
  19. Very close but you can tell the toning against the BU 1947, etc.. Still looks nice though. Problem with me is that I like them all from the deep chocolate sheen to the orangey hue. They all have a beautiful sheen to them. I do have a number of 44 and 46 as well all different hues. Maybe something to keep a hold off as an example of this period of the RM bronze production. Also have a number of spares as well so will have to start unloading some at some point.I have quite a few spare Geo V & VI now in Unc condition, mostly the later Geo V - 1928 and on (no top notch 32 or 34 though, yet! just EF toned or near EF). I get what Pete mean't now about those 2.
  20. Will do some decent close-ups and microscope shots Matt. This was quick with my phone. Cheers Brian
  21. Turns out I had a 1932 with filled in 2 all along! Not quite as dramatic but definately filled.
  22. Here are a few standard uncirculated 1945 pennies. They are all as struck and mint toned. The thing I like about them are the range of colours that were achieved through the process.
