  1. I can see a nasty mark on the obverse
  2. Coins at this time were not really collected as momentos , this really took off in victorian times and after (thats why 1901 and 1902 coins are so common) A shilling would have been worth a couple of days pay at the time so only the rich would have kept one as a keepsake, remember the georges (germans)were never really that popular with the public till george the third at least . It might have been hoarded more for its intrinsic silver value there was a lot of this esp about 1790-1815 when the recoinage produced lighter coins
  3. if trump and kim had sex this would be the result? Looks like little britain gone mad
  4. I picked a set up the other day at a flea market of £3 , totally mint grade would sell on ebay for £15 On the other hand between 1953 and 1962 or so many sets were broken up to spend as the set retailed for only a small premium over face the only 1953 pennies in circulation came from these sets I believe , everything else was issed as per circulation.
  5. Unlikely thinks will change as decimals are getting lots of publicity at the moment
  6. these william pennies are notoriously hard to find in nice grade. most have to make do with a near vf or worse coin
  7. Yes the plastic set coins are more common
  8. Is one out of the plastic set and the other current circulateing coin ? Number 1 looks lightly struck more than most , plastic set?
  9. Reverse looks close to EF never seen one anywhere near that good
  10. I actually saw this tour in Sheffield about 1996-97 now if I remember rightly , I saw brian tour about three times as a solo artist , he used to do a two hour set and I used to enjoy seeing brian on his guitar . I have seen the new queen but not with the new singer though after seeing them on ther new years specials its clear i have missed out I am pretty sure this tour was about the time they started retailing these picks , I remember seeing them for sale for around a tenner 2006? Maybe. there are probably different ones for different tours , at a guess yours is the rarest
  11. Ok transportation then , it was considered nearly as bad as death
  12. Not really forgery was punishable by death so the forger could plead in court there was no intention to decieve as per coinage as their "copy" had a beard so nobody would be fooled . In reality everyone would be , as dickins rightly said "the law is an ass"
  13. Well dont buy old dresses then!!!
  14. And the way she tries to come across as some sort of saint for that disabled child of hers. hundreds of thousands do the same thing all over the country with little money or getting by on benefits IMO she probably suffers from narsasistic personality disorder , few females tend to be diagnosed with it but I am pretty sure she has it. I also strongly suspect margaret thatcher as well , her saving grace was at least she was talented
  15. I would not belive anything his cow of an ex wife sez If he was so small why did she marry him ? She could have bought him an enhancement operation if it was such a big problem (she had the money) She must be spoiled looking at the underside of horses every day Nice pic above by the way - I saw quite a few swans on nests the last few days - its that time again- nice to see swallows back as well though they have been around for over a month
  16. Come on peter give us the full four yorkshiremen monty python scetch. YOU WERE LUCKY..........
  17. at least you never ended up like bonham and moonie
  18. We had someone sectioned at a local BBQ Glad I went away ps. he was out the next day Lack of hospital beds prob Waiting list , you have to give six months notice if you want to be a danger to the public
  19. At least if you go out you don't tend to upset yourself or other people by getting pissed at a BBQ , much fun it is though.
