  1. I won't tell you the year my primary was established
  2. I had a thought - what this site needs is a Wish-Thread. You know, advertise what you're looking for and some other Forum member may have it (chances are slim with our regular members but you never know!). Ok so I want Brilliant Uncirculated Farthings between 1902 to the end of mintage. Let's see where this goes!
  3. It's easy once you get the hang of their annoying habit of compounding words. Just look up the word speed limit and you'll see what I mean!
  4. ...or you could ask us!
  5. Foooooool! Nobody with brains would do that, it's like throwing a Chippendale chair onto a fire and saying you need the heat!
  6. I wasn't using the year my school was established as an insult to the newer comps I was simply adding more information.
  7. I'm not casting aspersions on the calibre of teaching at comprehensives, I'm simply saying that im my area the majority of comprehensive students are revolting.
  8. Well the comprehensives near my area aren't ones to scream about - full of....undesirables.
  9. Pfff! You need to change that attitude right away!
  10. Eww....comprehensives
  11. Thanks very much William and Chris for the PM
  12. Tis a melting pot of many different languages
  13. You have hit the proverbial nail on its proverbial head
  14. Grammar schools are the best, better than comps. I go to Clitheroe Royal Grammar School (Est. 1554)
  15. You can rinse it to get dirt off if it's caked in rubbish
  16. I know someone in the Masons and their secret handshake (yes, they have one!)
  17. Wait until you do Irrational and Imaginary numbers, Surds and Quadratic Equations at school (that said, quads are quite easy once you get the hang of them, so are all of those but its like hitting a brick wall at first)
  18. No, a Briton is a citizen of Britain, just as an American is a citizen of America, Frenchman is a citizen of France, Azerbaijani is a citizen of Azerbaijan.
  19. Probably one of the many things they issued over the years (Man is Space (?) springs to mind). You know the sort: Buy £10 of petrol, get a coin. Collect the whole set blah blah - a commercial gimmick
  20. We should follow Singapore's example of stringent, zero-tolerance laws towards chewing-gum, but apply it to all rubbish.
  21. At current exchange rates (1 AUD = 0.405588 GBP), it's worth £344.75 (GBP)
  22. Why are you mocking me for using italics?
