Today I've started a report on a client's investment portfolio but the majority of the bugger's (yes I can use that word - read the Daily Mail today!) companies have changed their names about 5 times so I've got to trawl through the CGT Service book and if that doesn't work I just leave them alone!
Ok I don't have my Spinks book with me (as I'm at W.E) but off the top of my head I'd say top-right is a George IV Penny and the bottom is a Half-Crown. I can't make out the top one because I've got this anti-glare thing on my screen and it dims everything.
Ok here's a rundown of what I do/have done so far: 1) Get in at 8:30 and write up share reports and prices for the Telegraph 2) I read the FT for 45 minutes 3) I then get assigned a task; first day it was filing, then yesterday I did ISA customer details and today I bought and sold stock 4) Then at 4:25 I send out the post and Direct Exchange letters Thrilling stuff!
During this week and all of the next one, I am at work experience at a Stockbroker's in Blackburn. It is quite fun but there are some boring bits so I come and post on here!
Oooh look at the mistakes on this! Fool on Ebay Title says VF but in descrition it says EF?! The picture is that of a silver proof not the one being sold But wait, you get a free 50p so that makes it all worthwhile
They should keep their mitts orf! I want a pair of white gloves for mine but when I saw them on a site (this one??) you could only buy them in lots of 5 pairs or something
Yes I read that on the Royal Mint website (in the foundations of cathedrals I think). I think seven (?) were minted but a while ago one or two were stolen so some lucky devil has one or two in their collection!
I've just completed my collection from 1936 (All BU) at a fair cost so I shall assess my fiscal position shortly to see whether my cavernous vaults can afford such items
