  1. been watching these, seems to be a fair few, seen them sold, then more of the same appear.
  2. yea I know about the emails, but it is just a silly thing to remove.
  3. OK, say you bid on something that ends early morning, or when you are not online, and you win the item. it used to tell you you had unpaid item, on your my ebay screen in the box on the side, regardless if you were sent an invoice or not, so if you won. sometimes you get invoiced for said item, before you get back on. and the bought items you have to scroll below your watch list. so if someone who was bidding, comes on, has a quick look and sees no unpaid items because they got invoiced. it is basically ebay making life harder for everyone by making stupid, unneeded changes.
  4. when you buy an item, in your buying screen it tells you, in a box. outbid ending soon watched items ending awaiting feedback when you win something it shows unpaid items the seller sends invoice through ebay, that disappears and doesnt show unpaid invoices. if the buyer won something, they might not know.
  5. I'm more frustrated by the unpaid item thing disappearing when someone sends an invoice, and then doesn't bother to tell you you have the invoice.
  6. yea and that wasn't a steal either
  7. although there is an obverse legend difference FRA instead of FR better then mine
  8. James seems to be expensive the Hammered I own isn't spectacular either, but some are examples of mints and suit me just fine.
  9. yea I'll post it later, in the new acquisitions thread.
  10. People DO miss the rare stuff. I have bought a few rares from coin dealers on ebay they missed. best one was 3 William 3rd love token bent shillings... them and everyone else failing to spot the only visible detail one one was the Scottish arms at date. also picked up 1879 narrow date penny.. for 99p+ postage despite the listing saying TWO TYPES OF 1879 PENNY 1897 high tides also missed by everyone. listed William III rarities bought for less then non-rare washers even found clear stuff like a TERTVS halfpenny in a bulk lot with both sides visable and one i bought the other day £4.99 BIN 1694 1773 and 1806 halfpenny, the 1694 is better then a huge number that sell for a fiver... and again a seller of plenty of coins on ebay... Unbarred A's in MARIA too..
  11. there has been 1 and 2 lines all the way from Charles II, and isn't there a faint trace of a line on that 1738 before the date?
  12. ok I have had a look again at one of my 1739's (the one with the squashed edges) and there is no sign of a second line, the marked line is also incuse on mine
  13. I already pointed out the line before 1, it is like the others. the 1st one is hard to tell but the bit after the 9 isn't an exergue line, especially as i checked for Variates before uploading the picture for the 2nd one.
  14. will the 1862 B over R halfpenny be included?
  15. coincidentally bit rubbed and scratched but no line. sign of what is left of a line before the 1 again?
  16. I saw one that matched the dies, and had traces of the 2nd line. that single line has part of a 2nd line before the 1 in the date does it not?
  17. starting at 1760? needs to go back at least another 100 years problem with modern decimals is no one knows the mintage figures of the coins before getting hyped nowadays.
  18. it is the reverse I have more issue with, cant tell if they are beads or teeth.
  19. looks TB/TB to me :/
  20. pleased with this little find. hadn't seen the overdate in the initial pictures but the 18 is clearly recut and the 2 is over and underlying 1 was part of a bunch i bought, £3.95 on its own excluding postage £11.25 don't see many of these.
  21. some rarities get listed on ebay and don't sell for as much as the washer selling at the same time.
  22. dunno how rare it is, but W&M seems to sell well even in washer grade, which is probably what makes these rarer.
  23. no I dont have one of those, charles is expensive when you get above washer
