Hi Bob, Thanks for the input. Regarding the possibility of obverse 5, I dismissed that option because the coin in question does not have the scalloped top center leaf that I have seen on all obverse 5 specimens whether or not they have the indentation flaw on the forehead. Conversely, I have not seen that scalloped top center leaf on any other obverse other than an obverse 5. Ergo, in my opinion, it is not an obverse 5.

I'd like a second opinion on what I believe to be another 1861 6 & b half penny. Although low grade, I think it can be identified. It is NOT an obverse 7. It appears to have the die break above the R in REG as well as a bit more of the O in HONI SO. Additionally, although difficult to capture in an image, I think there is evidence of a double incuse line. All indicative of an obverse 6. All comments appreciated. Thank you

I have a recollection of somebody MANY YEARS ago having images of desirable collectibles (coins, stamps, cards, etc.) as part of the listing; and in a small font and a white or light font color (so as to be virtually unreadable although searchable) the information that " This Auction is for a Photograph of the item imaged and NOT for the item itself. A lot of money passed hands from a lot of disappointed, disillusioned, disgusted, and disgruntled buyers. Not sure what the end result was of all the complaints though CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!

Without any sort of examination, my gut reflex is fake.. No disrespect to the monarch, but I just don't like the way Queen Victoria looks.

I'm glad this wasn't a penny of the same date.

Please note that there are actually 2 cuds on the obverse, one much more obvious and catches the eye first.

An intriguing set of 3 identical 1967 obverse cud pennies. Interestingly/Coincidentally I missed out on 2 other matching examples on Ebay in the past.

Very similar to the probable F-18, although the reverse is reminiscent of a reverse F... feedback and thoughts welcomed

Hi Bernie, I tend to concur with you, both for the reason you stated and the fact that I think I can see double incuse lines on one of the leaves, which would indicate obverse 6 as oppose to obverse 4. Of course, as you state it is very difficult to determine from worn specimens, if at all especially from an image. I'll upload images of my 6 & F for comparison.

Are their guide books to help properly attribute your "COUNS" so that you can catalog them accordingly?? Such as what exists for coins... How do you grade a "COUN"?
