Quite possibly a literal stock photograph

The colour looks too uniform for my liking. Even with a full lustre coin you see some variation in the toning. It ought to be 175 years old, after all. Having said that, it is the commonest date. Question is, are the marks the same on all coins?

I think it is a case of one (or both) being off-centre. Need a larger statistically significant sample size to confirm. The gap from the crown to the letter looks to be the same and the rim on one is not cleanly struck.

How do you save images such as those on Baldwin's where there is a magnified image when you hover over it, but no right click save as etc? Silly estimate on the 1667/4 halfcrown - £12-14K. Colin offered me that for £1600 before he consigned his collection which contained the better of his two for sale later in the year, but I couldn't bring myself to buy it given the condition. John (argentum) bought it for £2100 in Spink's March 2005 sale. 12 years, 12K increase in value? Surely not. Someone's having a laugh.

Help!! I've hit something and don't know what. Not looking good. Trying to write a document in word, but now it puts a line through changes and highlights in red and it puts a vertical line by the side. I can't get rid of it, nor do a copy and paste to show a picture. How do I get rid of it without discarding the whole document and losing pages of data If I can't get rid I've just wasted 4 hours. It also came up with lots of red boxes and horizontal lines if that helps. Everything I write is now in red, despite changing the colour to black - to no avail. Thanks.

If you have a lot of spare trays then make your own cabinet. That's what my son did for me. Killed two birds with one stone. It did something with the pile of trays that were always being moved and dumped somewhere else, and from his perspective solved the perennial problem of what to give me for Christmas. It has been posted before, but here it is again. For anyone thinking of carving the front panel of a hardwood cabinet, I have been assured that it seemed like a good idea at the time.

You're lucky. They have managed to drop me from the mailing list. When St. James's split from Baldwins a short while back, Steve Fenton was encouraging people to ask for a catalogue if they didn't receive one as he tried to rebuild his mailing list. Meanwhile I continued to receive both St. James's and Baldwins catalogues. Now they have joint sales I have been dropped from the list, or at least I didn't get the last one, and by extension won't receive this one either. I don't think I've offended anyone recently. On the plus side, there is no shortage of auctions to peruse, so it relieves the reading pressure a bit. Anything of interest in it? I can't summon the enthusiasm to spend all day looking through the online catalogue - I'm only expected to be on this planet for three score years and ten.
