  7. At another antique centre local to me I've bought several coins 1863 1/4d GF Many Indian Head cents 1887 1d EF Early Aussie silver The beauty of it I never paid more than £1.50 As with Richard Mrs Peter enjoys a nose round....we pick up a few nice bits. There is also a nice cafe adjacent.
  8. There is a new antique centre opening up about 10 miles away in a pleasant small town. I have the opportunity of renting a coin cabinet.They are trying to get a reasonable coin section. Has anyone had experience of this?

  12. Can of worms being opened. Why slab in the 1st place? The mule 20p looked AUNC and is as described. Most of us here break coins out of their plastic coffins.

  15. All pre 1947 silver coins are 50% silver and sell well on ebay. It might be worth buying collectors coins GB for about £6 and check the dates.

  19. The 51 farthing is fairly difficult in its own right. I believe the 1864 was a proof but copper 1860's are just very rare currency coins.

  22. Anyone with a brain bigger than a pea wouldn't sell 800 coins as a job lot without taking out the goodies. I reckon you have bought junk.
  23. Car boot and £20 for a huge box.They are not worth anything.
  24. There is a chap on ebay selling all these on CD for a couple of £. I have picked up one old catalogue but basically Krause is boll**ks and just a general reference.
