  1. LOL https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1908-PENNY-EDWARD-VII-BRITISH-BRONZE-COIN-SUPERB/174209812889
  2. Are you suggesting that all these remainers are lying? I think I'll phone the Daily Mail!
  3. Missed out due to the website issues, which means I also couldn't book the SYO sovereign either. Regular customers really ought to get dibs before the hordes of profiteering riff-raff get a look in. Mainly because my profiteering is more important.
  4. @SwordWith (allegedly) 50 million remainers, and (I say this with a wry smile) ONLY 10 million in circulation, it shouldn't take long And no, @Peckris 2 I won't oblige.
  5. I'm hoping all th eoffended remainers will bury/melt/destroy many of them thus reducing the number to scare
  6. They're tryinmg to create a non-divisive coin without the word brexit on. Trouble is, they've done something really cheesy instead of actually commemrating the UK leaving the EU. Whatever they do for it, the remoaners will be critical, and with the current design so will anyone who likes coins or wants to pick faults. Whatever, I'm still off to the mint tomorrow to get me one in a Jan31/2020 pack in the one-day only event.
  7. Not the finest example going, but in hand eye appeal is very good.
  8. Personally I and the planet are eagerly awaiting the next ELE space rock. Perhaps that migh make any survivors reconsider how important this rock in space actually is. It'd probably screw the coin market though, but it would also shake up the governments all across the globe
  9. @Paddy have you started on that home made Vodka?
  10. One of my daughters was going to vote Labour. She's at uni and it seems fashionable. I asked her to look at the historic trends that follow a labour government and the reasons for those trends. I also suggested she looked at how many Tory govenerments had started wars. Oddly she changed her vote, because it turns out much of the truth about labour isn't published lol.
  11. Irish passport application time for me and my daughters now. The wife needs to get her family documents sorted lol.
  12. That's not bad, the moon is easy to overexpose. Took me a couple of nights to get it down before a blood moon eclipse.
  13. Oddly it's the right way up on my computer but the forum wanted it sideways. I gave in and let technology win this once.
  14. This room...?
  15. Indeed, and even more weird is the 2019 Kew from Westminster, blue carded and cheapish .. selling fore 20-25 quid to eejits on ebay. Why don't they got to westminster and buy their own lol.
  16. As a student you can benefit from the global time difference. I've had some very good buys from ebay auctions ending in the wee hours of the morning when most people are asleep, so when you check aucttion site pay attention to the end times, if they in teh tiny hours UK time you might find you can afford/get lucky a lot more than you expect!
  17. More like a Emporor Dubious, 4th century probably.
  18. I'd be happy with any atlantic or pacific rock large enough to support a couple of banana trees and some large grasses while I research Darwins experiments...
  19. I guess it really depends just how good the provenance is. Largely I'd say about 5% for "good" provenance, but if it was e.g. ex-Freddie Mercury and documented, possibly up to 30% (as long as there was also enough meat left for a margin )
  20. I'm now pine-ing for someome to make me an admin so I can finally lay this thread to rest!
  21. I'd imagine that's where they go as the RM don't seem to do the final numbers when you take the sets into account.
  22. Thats what their grandparents have been doing for decades... and the longer they're held hostage the more go out of circulation, soon all these coins will be nearly unique. Slab a couple while they're good lol
