I was reading the local paper the other day and I saw this advert for a TV set. It said, "TV set for sale £1.Volume stuck on FULL". I thought, "I can't turn that down".
Yes that was very interesting, thanks. Amazing what occasionally turns up, and a really neat find for the family concerned.
On another note:-
Sounds as though many were roaming the countryside at that time, for more than just exercise.
When you have the full set u will be able to threaten non coinsters with making them read them all.
Seriously though well done , that shelf must be groaning
Spinks has HVIII VF Angels valued between 2 and 4 grand so 64 of them could be worth around £200,000.
I'm more intrigued by who buried a load of Krugerrand's in the garden in the 70's and forgot about them!
I suspect this hoard was worth at least 12 years wages for the average worker somehow values such as 6 months of the average wage these days dont do a hoard like this justice
Thank you Peter ,like most varieties you dont know what may be found in the future or what other collectors may have that are rare and not share with people.
Although it was a really nice one and may be a long time untill another turns up for sale that is UNC.
I don't know Ian. I made the order just before I posted.
So when I say I've got it, what I really meant was that I've bagged it, but not yet received it.
I'll report back when I do.
