  1. I paid: 1911 (£18), 1915 (£15), 1920 (£17), 1929 (£7) and 1935 (£6). £4 postage. I was surprised that there weren't more bidders - I didn't have to fight very hard for them at all. The 1915, 1929, 1935 all went for the opening price. The 1911 had one other bid, and the 1920 had 5 apart from mine. This is probably the best result I've ever had from ebay. They all appear to be completely uncirculated with almost full mint lustre. I don't think they've been cleaned - just good honest coins.

  3. Always worth a gamble for things like that, would've been the first clogged 2 of that year.

  4. Yeah same coin, what a shame Big gash to the left of the second N in PENNY Looks like he had gunk on his camera which blocked out the tooth, and the crud in the 2 made it look filled in the first pictures, I assume.

  5. Here it is in all it's glory. I was considdering having it finish by that chap in the US but for the cost it would likely be better to start again with a decent pair of coins. Plus copper doesn't work so well as silver. It's a shame about the different tone each side, that is something I would like to fix but don't wnat to wreck it completely as it's a good novelty item. To put the two halves together I put the inner one in the freezed for a little while to shrink it.
