Hi, Welcome to the forums It would help a lot if we knew the dates of those coins. My own thoughts are 1) the "different" coin may be a high grade compared to the other 3, whose edges look pretty worn. 2) it's even possible that the different coin is a proof (is it dated 1937?), whose edges are sharp and crisp and even (I sound like good king Wenceslas ) compared to currency coins. Picture of the reverse of all 4 coins would be helpful.

I would agree with 9 + K. F317. The underside of the first leaf in the top 2 rows line thru. Date width covers 14 teeth. R16. Well spotted.

Yes, I think yours is a Ba Paddy, slightly wider and directly over a gap between teeth

I don't have Gouby and I haven't really got into these date width varieties, but I get from the above that mine is Ba?

For 'date width' collectors. Picked up quite a nice 1895 1mm penny, which looks to me to be something in between Gouby's Ba and Bb, with the centre base of the 5 neither directly over a gap (Ba) or directly over a tooth (Bb, wider).

There are hole drills without the centre drills - like these: A hole punch would leave different damage and would certainly have deformed the reverse.

Rather than an attempt at drilling, (the tip of the drill being pointed would remove material in the center first) Not around the edge. This looks like an attempt at using a hole punch.

Looking at the comparative pictures above, most of the differences (apart from the colours!) seem to come from the angle of the final 1 rather that its horizontal position. Completely different to what we see with 1896 pennies, for example.
