  1. Past hour
  2. No print planned for the foreseeable I'm afraid. I should be able to prodive a PDF version for you.
  3. Today
  4. I would very much like to get a paper copy of this since the ebook is Kindle rather than something more useful like PDF. I have no trust for Amazon. Will there be another printing of this book? Thanks! William
  5. They’re going to ruin that 100% positive feedback with that 😆
  6. Yesterday
  7. I ordered through that yes, directly from the link on the forum's homepage. Incidentally, I am international, so that sounds like good news to me. Thanks.
  8. I believe we can see only the top portion of the 4 makng it appear widely spaced.
  9. The burr where the drill has blown out the metal is bronze coloured. I believe we can see only the top portion of the 4 makng it appear widely spaced.
  10. 1874H Freeman 66 dies 6+G is my guess; just inside the hole it looks bronze coloured.
  11. Thanks for that. I just checked and it seems that the posts are now showing new posts first. I must have clicked something I shouldn't have. Thank you.
  12. Well Done again! If I was you I would buy a national lottery ticket, about the same odds!

  14. I know, it's embarrassing that there hasn't been one for so long. Ideally I think I'd like to hand the reigns to someone else to do that and just be the publisher, if you know anyone!
  15. For me the new posts are at the top, below any ‘sticky’ posts so it must be possible. Or you can always click ‘unread posts’ top right. Jerry
  16. Just out of interest, when is the next Collectors' Coins GB (the pre-decimal one) likely to be coming out? The last one was 2020 ! I know bullion price volatility will be affecting values significantly, but even so, it'd be great to have an updated and revised edition soon!!
  17. Is there a way to place new posts first on all forums? I have been able to do this on a couple of forums but others begin with the first post and I have to sift through to the last page to read any new posts.
  18. Note the publisher, Chris Perkins, has just posted on another thread on this topic, there are a few copies of the current Freeman available on the link he provides. Essential reference, and not expensive. Jerry
  19. It doesn’t really cover the varieties at all, more to do with the history behind the coinage and details of its manufacture. Michael is still advertising it on his website Michael Coins. For pennies he has a book purely on the Victorian penny series and it’s worth enquiring as to availability, that does cover the varieties. The latest Freeman also covers most significant varieties but not the minutiae. Also possibly out of print, but these do appear occasionally on EBay. Don’t forget that the commoner issues are all still ‘varieties’ and by no means all are easy to find. Jerry
  20. Would anyone have a copy for sale please? Are all the Penny varieties covered? Did Michael write a book which covers only Penny types and die pairings. How much info was added to the 5th edition? The British Bronze Coinage: Pence, Halfpence and Farthings 1860 - 1869 (5th Edition) by Michael Gouby Loose Leaf, 60 Pages, Published 2006 ISBN-10: 0-948855-11-8 / 0948855118 ISBN-13: 978-0-948855-11-5 / 9780948855115 many thanks !
  21. Did you order via: https://coinpublications.com/product/the-bronze-coinage-of-great-britain-freeman/ If so, it'll be reasonably fast. I have a few in Germany that I use to fulfil international orders, as postage is much cheaper from here. The UK warehouse has 2 or 3 left at the moment and I just ordered a small re-print yesterday, so with any luck no one will notice the gap.
  22. I seem to recall that it's out of print. Message Chris Perkins to check.
  23. I have added the F90 to my website - let me know if you would like a personal attribution.
  24. Ah ! So prompted by Paddy I delved back into a box of duplicates, high grades & oddities that are to good to part with, I wasn't sure if I had any variations of the 1887 Shilling, I don't have the young head, only the second portrait.....none in the duplicate box...aha I did find another 1872 this one has the Die No 29....Memo: this was kept as at some point you could be assed to move the coins to create a space so Die No 29 will slot in with the other 1872.....!?!? it also has a deformed N in Britanniar .... ....Yes a Rabbit Hole...but its a ocd world I seem to be living in.... 😟
  25. Thank you very much ! That F148 is really nice, amazing find. I dont expect to find another F90, wont stop me looking though.... 1861 2+F maybe a tricky one to find although the 1863 F44 slender 3 Freemans own example was thought to unique for many years then three more examples turned up. It's a monumental challenge especially unattributed to try and find all the types. If there is one 2+F I have hope there is more. Same for the other types.
