ozjohn Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 GENUINE UNC? MS 60 - 65, FDC UNC. There are many versions of GENUINE UNC. If you have long enough pockets go for slabbed coins but even then opinions are different.

Paulus Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 PWA's 1887 CGS78 Half Crown - unhelpfully photographed inside the slab
sound Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Mynki,Read Ozjohn's post carefully.Remember all grading is an opinion. A conservative sellers 'almost, virtually, about' could be what your looking for. Particularly when considering early VICTORIAN silver with die wear anomalies, being dogmatic may not be your best way forward.RegardsMark
azda Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 (edited) proving said coins grade without a TPGs slab could be fun though. seller, ts UNC, buyer of course it is. When it Comes to grading we use our own knowhow, everyone else has their own opinion and 9 times out of 10 it will differ. There are'nt many conservative sellers out there, everone is looking for a deal or a Dollar, so ask yourself the question, if you think it's cheap, then why is it cheap? And just as an aside, MS60 is'nt a British UNC either, so decide how good you actually Need a coin Edited April 10, 2015 by azda
