Gary1000 Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 The latest fixed price catalogue has just dropped on my desk, looks like something to everyone in there. Quote
VickySilver Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Especially 5 guinea pieces! Nada for me there; it seems I remember many of these pieces almost as old friends... Quote
pokal02 Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Nor for me (would have liked the complete works of Helen Farquhar, but not at £2,500!) Quote
damian1986 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 No Henry III pennies As of 2012 they had 32,000 left from the Brussels hoard. Some decent coppers in amongst some not so brilliant ones but I haven't seen that much pre George III copper available so it's tempting. Quote
shagreen Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Frankly, my summary of the list is the overall quality of their offerings is middling and I think slightly down on what they have offered in previous lists. I suspect they used to "set aside" a few quality peices for inclusion in these lists to create more interest, now I think top material is sold directly to established / favoured clients or put to auction Quote
Rob Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I don't think the quality material is available full stop. We are all scrapping in the same bull pit. Quote
