Opinions on 1689 1/2 Crown

So this is my first foray posting on this site. Hope I do a good job.

I've previously posted this question on another site and one or 2 replies I received had the 'almost too good' comment. So I thought I'd throw it on here as well to get other opinions about it. What would you all say as far as authenticity/grading? Thanks a bunch.

I cannot see much wrong with it (other than the obvious cleaning).

I cannot give a cast iron assurance it is genuine without handling it. Grade would be VF or slightly better.

This one was bought along with a few others (pics attached, missing one side of shilling as I'm limited to 150kb) from a local collector. Total was about $400 Cdn if I remember correctly. Thought it was a good deal, these types of coins are hard to come across locally over here.

Where's that plantain skin, they're bigger?

Definitely very cheap, as azda says, would really like to see the obverse of the shilling!

The threepence looks to be the rarer 8/1 too...I know it makes no logical numismatic sense, but BCW have cataloged one! Could even be a 9 under the 0 (though difficult to tell from the images), making for a mix of the BCW varieties. They do, of course, also list an 80/79 (much more logical), but your underlying number looks much more 1-like (not that I've been able to tell 1's from 2's recently ).

Yes, that's the rarer 8/1 and, reassuringly, a straight 0! Nice grade (apart from the clip) for type...good find!

It's BCW Threepence LC-1:c 8/1 variant, so not so common it has to be said! However, it has a nasty clip, which pulls it back a lot.

In balance, if it was mine, I wouldn't want to see much less than £100 for it, though you might have to wait some time for a variety collector to spot it.

At £80ish 30-day BIN on eBay, I'd say you'd eventually get a bite!

I like the fact that others like it, I really like it myself. I feel pretty good about the coin (as good an an amateur such as myself can i guess). Really appreciate all the feedback. I'm actually just about to throw a couple more on for opinions.
