All things considered, I make it F10 even though I can't see the signature on the cape. Quote
azda Posted July 7, 2010 Author Posted July 7, 2010 Yep, its very faint unfortunately, but there Quote
argentumandcoins Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Unfortunately its still a Freeman 10 Azda.John. Quote
azda Posted July 7, 2010 Author Posted July 7, 2010 It is John, but i wouldn't say unfortunately because as has been noted, not many of these have the LCW because of poor striking, so it's ok for now until i can do some more digging around, unless you have any that is? Quote
£400 for a Penny ? (basically until L.C.Wyon comes into view)Ta. Quote

azda Posted July 7, 2010 Author Posted July 7, 2010 Lol, thanx john, out of curiosity, how much are yours, and what grade would you say this was? 400 i'll see what i can do regarding another picture Quote
argentumandcoins Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 (edited) I'd go with VF on yours but if you were selling on ebay you could probably call it "Very High Grade"!!!! Mine are £120 for an UNC and £140 for UNC with good lustre. I've put the link to the cheaper one on for your reference.http:ekmpowershop11.com/ekmps/shops/argentumandco/1860-penny-unc-f-10-285-p.aspI'd still stick with yours though If you decide you want anything at any point drop me a PM and I'll sort you out with a discount code for use at checkout John. Bronze & Copper Collector Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 F-10The signature is clear enough for this variety Quote

There are other tells, but they are the main ones to look for in combination.John. Quote

Bronze & Copper Collector Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I'm not at home right now to try to get a better image for you, but using your image and cropping and enlarging it, I will try to show you the LC WYON under Victoria's bust .... First image is Hi-Lighted, second image is just enlarged.... Quote
Bronze & Copper Collector Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 another image with the LC WYON underlined Quote

Bronze & Copper Collector Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 LCW under bust i have, but the picture is rubbishif you look carefuly you can clearly see the lettersHard to tell, but this looks more like an Obverse 4, LCWYON UNDER the bust, Obverse 2 is on the base of the bust, Obverse 3 partly on partly under the base of the bust....
