Peckris 2 Posted September 30, 2025 Posted September 30, 2025 what did the lot with my rare pattern variety in go for? Quote

Not sure what it is about the post that's causing the problem... Hi Chris, I'm just back catching up and this topic has piqued my interest - can you elaborate on the "rare 1887 6d" please? PS - Hi everyone else! Quote

PS - Hi everyone else! Hi. It's this one, identified by @1887jubilee as one of many (minor) patterns of 1887 silver: It's the 6d on the left - note the far 7, and the first 8 with a higher 8 beneath it referred to as a "horned 8" on one example in an auction lot. Unwilling Numismatist Posted February 17 Posted February 17 (edited) @Peckris 2 Just to confirm - this is a JH 6d? It almost looks like JH 1+B but there isn't enough in the images to be sure it isn't YH to add confusion. Edited February 17 by Unwilling Numismatist Quote

Graham Travé Posted Wednesday at 02:34 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:34 PM 1887 jubilee florin i just found an 1887 florin which I was going to put on eBay but I can’t find another one anywhere with the reverse side the same. It’s got a St George and the dragon between the date numerals and has a lot of extra design compared to others . Here are some images .. I can’t find any images or info online that describes this particular type. maybe you know about this ? I’ve attached some images Quote
Rob Posted yesterday at 08:58 AM Posted yesterday at 08:58 AM It's a halfcrown, not a florin. Florins weigh just over 11g, not 14. Quote
Garrett Posted 37 minutes ago Posted 37 minutes ago Welcome to the forum Graham, it's a nice looking coin. Quote
