It's certainly not a Rhuddlan, but what is it?

The reverse looks like NICHOLEONCA with a cross pommee and no stops or other punctation, which would make it class 8c, Mass 2150.  Correct?

I definitely don't think it's worth upwards of £106 in any case...

Yes 8c Nichole Canterbury. Saw it a few days ago. Messaged the seller and told him what it was but got no reply.

Somebody else i know also messaged them telling them it was not Rhuddlan and that it was Henry III 8c Canterbury.

Can only assume they are trying to get more money for it than its actually worth.

Ah right. I was going to message him too, but no point.

Yeah don't bother. Exercise in futility i feel.

With any luck the buyer will return it under "item not as described" once they realise it's not Rhuddlan.

If the bidders can't tell that's not a Rhuddlan from those images I suspect that they will just label it and stick it in their collection.

Oh and I also note that this is his first auction. Under that name anyway...

It annoys me that he's going to rip someone off so I decided to message him anyway.

Won't do any good, but at least I feel better...

Many folks just pic the rarest coin in a series and claim there's is that .

It's pointless emailing and telling them they are wrong , they are not interested

Almost worth setting up a dummy account and bidding it up to win.

Then not paying because it's wrongly described.

Years and years ago, I saw a listing finish with the winning bidder having bid over a million for a piece of hopeful crap like this.

The winning bidder teamed up with a mate to bid the item up.

Both had zero feedback.

The winner's ebay name was  'making_a_mockery'  and I'm still laughing.

Genius.
