No Jon, that's not reverse F.

Reverse F has a distinctly rounded lighthouse top - that one hasn't.

Looks like it could be obverse 4 though, which would make it an F22 IMO..

Here is a reverse F for information. As Mike says, rounded lighthouse top................also distinct rock formation, perhaps easiest 'F' characteristic to spot.

Thanks Ian. I initially thought that the rock you’ve pointed out was there on the one I posted, but have since realised it’s in the wrong place. As you say, the lighthouse top is an easy indicator. 🙂

Hurrah! :D

Yes, I could see that was an F26 in one glance, as well - I must be improving on my 1861's !

Well I wouldn't say one glance, but I'll get there! :)

I would agree with Pete on the 1881H being an  F108   But the 1879, its difficult to be sure as it is so worn with most indicators unclear , but the F in F:D:  is slightly rotated clockwise and looks to me more like the Obv. 8 so looks more likely to be the   F96 .   :D

I think Pete's right with F97. Thanks both. :)

F98 is the narrow date 1879, Jon.

Freeman 98 (not mine I hasten to add !!!)
