IanB Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 I take your point the grade of a coin is dependant on the wear of the coin. However in this case the initial assessment of the coin was that it was horrible but with some TLC it's become a much more desirable item. mrbadexample Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Let's call it VF. VF with verdigris = VF with treated verdigris = VF with no verdigris = All VF but depends on the eye appeal. 1 Quote

PWA 1967 Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Thats also a lot better as when you bought it the reverse was the worse side HAT OFF 1 Quote
Stuntman Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 A huge improvement in its condition. Well done! Quote
copper123 Posted February 6, 2017 Author Posted February 6, 2017 Yes I am not totally pleased with the reverse yet so I will carry on working on it - unfortunately it looks slightly "Edgy" as well with a couple of edge knocks and other light problems , like a weak strike as well Overall though I am very please with the verdi-care Quote
Oswald Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 You did a perfect purchase. You need to spend a little more time and to read more about the ways to clean the coin. For now, your results pretty good but your coin can look much better with appropriate cleaning. Quote
declan03 Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Great find. Tony Claytons price guide puts this at £150 in fine condition!! Quote
copper123 Posted June 5, 2017 Author Posted June 5, 2017 you could grade the reverse fine because it has problems but the obverse is much better Quote
