I take your point the grade of a coin is dependant on the wear of the coin. However in this case the initial assessment of the coin was that it was horrible but with some TLC it's become a much more desirable item.

Let's call it VF.

VF with verdigris = :(

VF with treated verdigris = :mellow:

VF with no verdigris = :)

All VF but depends on the eye appeal.

theres a Gs over finishing on ebay tonight in a few minutes should give a clue as to what mines worth

Yes I am not totally pleased with the reverse yet so I will carry on working on it - unfortunately it looks slightly "Edgy" as well with a couple of edge knocks and other light problems , like a weak strike as well

Overall though I am very please with the verdi-care

You did a perfect purchase. You need to spend a little more time and to read more about the ways to clean the coin. For now, your results pretty good but your coin can look much better with appropriate cleaning.

Great find. Tony Claytons price guide puts this at £150 in fine condition!!

you could grade the reverse fine because it has problems  but the obverse is much better
