ANYONE WHO SEES THE ALUMINIUM COLLECTORS BOX WITH TRAYS IN LIDL THE NEXT FEW WEEKS PLEASE INFORM US HERE .

They are great value for £10 or so and often end up on ebay selling at £30 within days

But if you actually want to use them to carry coins, you've got to put 28 mm of foam on top of the trays to prevent everything falling out.

They are good static boxes, i bought 2 a few years back

Too much wasted space and only 5 trays with holes for less than 300 coins. Cheap and cheerful I guess, but not enough capacity to be of practical use for squirrels.

the only alternatives are quite dear - the coin boxes have appeared in lidl in late november / dec for the last 5 years or so .

I am pretty sure they will again

I grabbed  a few from my local Lidl this morning. Will be sending off to get some 2x2 trays to hold my quadrum cases. I also put an extra tray in so they can me carried about without the coins being dislodged. Will us the other trays for my coin cabinet project.

I grabbed a couple as well. I would be interested to know where you get the 2x2 trays from?

I get mine from Andy Harrison at Coingallery.co.uk. He also sells through EBay and Amazon as andy-jack and Andie's Antiques

Just had a look and think Chris our forum host also sells the trays in his shop.

Thanks, I have ordered off both Andy and Chris in the past. I will take a look.
