azda Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Maybe the older generation might not like it, but i think it's quite a funky remix of a classic 1 Quote

DaveG38 Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 I'm the older generation, but since I didn't like the original, I don't really have a view about this version. Quote

PWA 1967 Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Nice thing is Dave some of the original tracks were done by mates of mine Quote
1949threepence Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 The original by Otis Redding is one of my Dad's favourites and it got played a lot at home when I was a kid. Along with many others, including his real favourites like Pink Floyd, King Crimson and "underground" music as he called it. His weirdest old 45 record was "Wet Dream" by Max Romeo, which was not allowed on the radio back in 1969, apparently. Understandable if you ever heard the lyrics Quote

PWA 1967 Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Another true story. I sponsored a kids charity night and had a table with a guest....We got tony wilson. He was really good company and a really nice guy. He asked had anyone got any questions. MY mate said yeah" why have you got so much money and a scruffy bastard" even him and the rest of the table laughed at that one all night RIP. 1 Quote
