  1. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1898-Great-Britain-Penny-Very-Nice-FREE-U-S-SHIPPING/333130983047?hash=item4d90276687:g:TzIAAOSwE99W6yZq How am I supposed to check for a bisect 8 then? Good work ebay.
  2. Looks ok (albeit cleaned) to me. Polish poltorak (3 polker). Cheap as chips and plenty around.
  3. Even so Richard, that one's a bit of a horror. I'm convinced that this is another.
  4. When was the sale Mike? Some of those prices were incredible - £500 for the F164a that looks fire damaged or something? Someone must have really wanted that one.
  5. Who graded the Crocker F175 as Fine then?
  6. Thanks Mike.
  7. Can you still see the Crocker sale? Can't find it on Colin Cooke's site.
  8. Only the second one I've seen where the top of the ear is still intact (the other being the far superior one Terry found), although no doubt there are plenty I haven't seen. Chuffed to bits, and the seller included a free halfpenny too.
  9. Mine's 28.4g. I can't tell what's off with the ebay one either. I guess people are bidding to resell as genuine.
  10. I can't believe I've had it in hand and didn't notice until I took a photo of it. I've probably looked at every ebay picture you have...and I've got to start again now!
  11. You're not wrong. And I need my eyes tested, mine's a F174.
  12. Court's survey suggests that they should account for about 1.4% of the population, but finding them even in low grade is surprisingly hard.
  13. I've been looking for a while now Mike, and have only found one washer so far:
  14. I didn't even know that one existed.
  15. Click this bit. It's very far from obvious.
  16. That's me out then. Pete says I should concentrate on better quality, not rang.
  17. You must be chuffed with that Mike, it looks beautiful.
  18. Generous of you Mike, but I'd say he knows exactly what he's doing.
  19. Neither is a genuine first issue. Fewer lines across the body is a giveaway.
  20. Being Mr Tod the Fox, Samuel Whiskers and Tommy Brock. If you care.
  21. Thanks Richard. Another gap filled.
  22. I think this is a F78? Reverse Gouby ja so must be F72 or F78 if my understanding is correct, and I'm fairly sure it's obverse Gouby L.
