  1. I did bougth a 1897 medal I dont know if it is a fake. thick brown but color silver inside.
  2. That what amateur learn like me outch. If he sells me a fake, I will be carefull next time but damaged already done. Do we have to inquire hear first before we buy specially amateur thats for me and other amateur like me. And Im not good in grading and looking at fake thats hurt sometimes in the past.
  3. I think you should lobby the Irish and UK parliaments Josie and force them to make ownership of my book compulsary for every man woman and child in the British Isles! Not the parliament to have a proposed bill to be amended by both houses. Maybe a recomendation letter or endorsement coming from thier several institution as a part of thier calling, for me the book is on its way that those letter be a gap or opening or exposure. For Coin collecting maybe became a numismatic or historian. Coin Investment. Or whatever are thier interest. here is the page of offices who will going to send a email first or a link to this tread if others dont agree its finished then http://www.gksoft.com/govt/en/gb.html
  4. Have to know the record of the seller and its records of complaint, then I will decide after I have inquire to other members of this forum, But Im not on to ebay,If I encountered that on one of the shop in here that I visit,I will If I completed the small denominations first.
  5. Yeah the building that was pointed out by the tour guide when we were in scotland as other project things can go on that way,one thing thou is how a foriegn architect or designer of the building was hired and not scottish one and the architect died before the complition of the project and the wife told that the architect finished it before he died, Now about the plan, during the conversation on the two on the other channel they do mentioned about the oil in the north sea,If the scot suceeded they will have the full domestic control of the country but regarding foriegn affairs and defense thier is a question, now I have an idea on where the CN ends on FA or defense for now thats what I know the boundaries. About the defense and the joint policing in the north where SF agree to support that also raise another question for policing and defense for me is somewhat corelated and its means it is all up to the viewers to comment or view for now for it is still in process. About the currency thats what most are looking what will happen, for me it is essential on both what ever their plans.
  6. What is the number now? Did they reached 2000 now?
  7. Its been several weeks since you post this article, For me it is very informative that the article coming from a numismatic and historian like you, a substantial information from your knowleged and experience, Several weeks ago that a nationalist member interviewed at sky that mentioning they are going to walk this december or going to a referendum, although the survey on both scot and english are still in favor of the union as far as my memory is right that is what I comprehend. As for many question arising in the news lately and some plans of others to the status of GB it is possible to published this tread in the web wheather or not it will be helpfull other viewers in the net are informed.
  8. Yes it will very hard to do that. At least we discuss the possibility of it in this forum and the calling in the past, is for me somewhat sweat it out on your own way to make the public interest or aware about coin collecting lucky they the expert in this forum are sweating thier eyebrow for this book. Goodluck chris. By the way can the moderator published this tread in the web it might be helpfull even in small way thats only my opinion.

  12. Well just another idea chris it might work or need much more convincing on other media or medium for thier is a calling or need in the past as discuss in this forum about coinage and history its not all metal or bullion of coin thier is a meaning and history in the incription of the coin as the goverment encouraging the younger generation to have interest or study in university and museum for me it is somewhat thier social obligation or social responsibilities to promote and support this and other book, for thier are many collector and expert in this forum is also a historian thats only my opinion
  13. That is good to know, for me it is better to list the know type for public and holiday makers. If ever before you are going to published the book, seen some author promoting thier book in tv mostly on the news as one I saw but diff. channel any chance you can promote your book to the BBC tv station and also invited them to this forum if it will materialized will you inform us when it will be aired just pushing luck.

  19. Thats a good place to go for fresh air any river or wishing well in there. Good to hear those info any chance you will hang or stay in this site and recommend to you other metal detector hobbyist about this site. There are many expert and numismatics in this site but they do specialised in GB.
  20. Welcome melody If your grandma found coins on that area and also you its up to you to find more on its suroundings thats my opinion and maybe go deeper search in the area or underneath the ground for it might be a colonie of celtic or anglo saxon before the roman arrive and do you chart your coin where did you found them it could be a historical site a battle site where roman drop thier coin doing battle or a haven or colonie. Lucky you have found a roman coin in GB.
  21. It is listed and also your full name in CCGB 2007, noted that you first shown it to this forum congrats to you and others.
  22. Thanks scott So another publicity made by the US and other publicity to gain support and public funds. So many bronze coins survive but the number that is missing is unaccounted. The commomwealth nation before they have thier independece what bronze coin they are using and who minted those coin did their coin came from GB or they have thier own mint for bronze coin. 23. Yes people lost coins specially the small denomination on predecimal coins. But on pre 2 world war for me is fewer because their are some cities destroyed during the war and if Im not mistaken that the ruble was placed on a land fill how may homes, offices and bank during that time may also have a number of coins in different denominations but most probable the small denomination put on a jar or a tin for thier value is small and no purchasing power like the penny or half penny,If other survive brought by people going to the countryside to avoid the bombing and survived before decimalization hope they dont trow the small denomination in a skip to another land fill with plastic rubbish in it.
