  1. Show all their might be a proof reverse in other issue
  2. I saw that describing word in clayton site about grading 1905 penny. Gold I think is meleable metal it retained its quality even in the finest detail lot of things or work others can do on gold a good craftsman, I dont know about the comments and the criticism on the coin but if it will goes down to history who is the individual responsible,I dont know.
  3. Thanks EMP. So proof coins that are worn are still proof. I think they messed up on this. Boatloads of detail especially in George's and the horse's muscles has been lost and the relief is so low as to be almost flat.
  4. Is proof found in circulation? If the proof is worn and found in circulation it is still proof?
  5. Thanks Scott So they all came in small plastic. Either by the bank or by circulation so it goes mostly inside GB. If collector from other country wants to hunt for variety and other their is some problem a little unlike coin roll
  6. Before the debut in june. Like to know if their are coin rolls in GB here in ireland they only use plastic bag, just inquire one of the bank. If it coin roll exist in GB any chance members in this forum might able to sell few. And how many are in coin roll hunting if their is or already exist.
  7. I didnt encounter round 1992 hope ard hawk it is close nine have to verify it by the expert like chris on hand and maybe list it on the book if it is not recorded Happy hunting
  8. Thanks for the info. So that is what its look like proof, uncirculated and bullion. Well detailed on the inside dont know about the edge of the image on reverse. The 2 on three coins are fat, slender and tall. The zero is narrow and wide. Dont know about the mint mark if it is well defined, but their distance is different. Its all up to all sovereign expert.
  9. Thanks Geoff. Now I know.if the medal is not in the same size like the 2 mentioned it is unofficial and many others or rest of them.
  10. Just looked up the world coin catalog 2006. 1988 2 pence bronze. 1990 zinc copper. I will just magnet all bronze coins I will encounter.
  11. Thanks scott for another info . It must be the metal use in those series and the die.
  12. okay chris email me the address Ill send both 1990 and 1991 I like to send it registered for sure delivery but sometimes its magnet to other individual,I will send it tomorow in packet form may be unregistered.
  13. The check is sunken is this post damaged or it is just worn, I have other coin same date 1920 and worn but I think its not sunken.
  14. The list for now.from this thread 1990 round 112 square 2 1991 round 48 square 3 1992 square 30 round 1 no difference on 1990 on 9 here is the picture. But on 1991 I think their are. Close nine is for rouns 1991 and open 9 is for square On 1992 is quite far in 1990 round to have one if it is close it is a find a other rest of date upwards.
  15. Just saw coin yearbook 2006 that the diameter of the medal are 56 and 21 mm but the one I posted is 38.6 near to the size of 1951 crown and also measured it by a ruler near to 39mm smooth edge.
  16. When does the change occur on brozed ireland decimal coins?what s the cut off date ? Saw in the past in ebay but dint recall what date, just found a 1988 2 pence didnt stick in magnet the other 1988 stick. Other dates may be still open for speculation and other denomination 2 pence and one penny ireland pre 1988 and post 1988. Thank you.
  17. I dont know first edition of CYC maybe few copies in hard back if not all. Spiral,Hard back it will be quite sometimes to memories 84 pages and others will go to the pages for the boundaries of design in the series to find any obverse or reverse that may exist either a mule a variety or a new find.
  18. Hard back is good like maybe freeman books is one that I have you can see the 2 pages flat on the table and dont curl.but the cost of a hard back is I dont know.
  19. Thanks Geoff I thuoght jubille was 50 years or golden their is also 60 diamond.
  20. Maybe its strong its my first CCGB book so I turn the page alot, the middle of the book is quite splitting, maybe its not the book or its just me or maybe the recent topic sometimes I browse on the forum also on some reference book I have ,for me if the book is going to be use for ref. it is much better to have a stich on the back one year is quite a time to wait for another issue especially if you are going to relase a new ref. book. Good book though besides of the variety that is listed in every colunm their is also notes on the side its save time if your browsing a book specially for variety or just the book is good in information to be used with other ref. for quick reading.
  21. Sorry it is not a jubillee medal. It is a 60 year anniv. celebration of quenn victoria 1837-1897. Like to know if it is a fake or not?
  22. I dont know but the binding or the spine of the book, it is the first time I have CCGB so I use it alot.
